People dont stop buying beer and cigrattes because someone need help tomorrow.Pocket money for beer and cigrattes doesnt help to pay bill for friends health bills. OC101 I dont see his approach unreasonable? Can't we help instead of mocking someone?

OC101 son of a bitch, its the matter of seriouness and life....ppl dont just joke......no1 without stealing dhotis money will have huge saving in US...and as far as medical expense is concerned, its kinda out of reach for normal nepali in here....so its obvious that ppl ask for help....if u dont wanna help , just get lost from here or go thru the same condition so that u can realise tha fact.

Bharat dai, i m sorry to hear this bad news, but we all pray for kundan's speedy recovery....ppl will definately help in this matter and i too request every1 to donate some $s to save some1s life.

On a side note (no offesese to anyone, but I think we need to start thinking about this)-We see these kinds of threads about health issues in sajha every now and then.  Isn't it time that we educate all our fellow Nepalese here in the States that WE ALL NEED TO HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE. I thought all the Colleges here require foreign students to have insurance. Is that not true anymore? Or students cancel them just to save some money? I'd say having an insurance here is as important as saving for your tuition or saving for family back home. I would urge everybody to save some for your health insurance as you are saving for those stuffs.

Unfortunate events like these are inevitable. Let us all make sure that if (god forbid) it happens to you, your friends and relatives have one less thing to worry about at the time--Finalcial stuffs. People don't realize the importance of insurance until they need one. Please don't be one of them...Get an insurance today.

How many can we help? I remember a couple of years ago, when sajha kinda just started, these  kind of threads used to be flooded with doners....I have noticed less interest and lower frequency of doners on these threads in the recent days. As much as I would want to, I personally am not in a financial position to help in each of these unfortunate events (just because we have a couple of them show up every now and then).

A request to all of you-PLEASE PREPARE YOURSELF BY HAVING A HEALTH INSURANCE.

This is not an insurance issue. This is life and death issue. We all know the importance of health insurance, however this kind of ill fated thing can happen to anyone(God forbid) and insurance only will not solve all the problems that comes after these things.

well, instead of calling me names, why don't u suggest people to buy nice health insurance rather than fancy cars,   I've seen lot of students buy these fancy unaffordable  cars, rather than life saving insurance. That was my  whole point. F@ck you to "Nepal Premi".

I am not sure why my post earlier regarding Health Insurance was deleted. I agree with Bharat that this is not an insurance issue and my apologies for digressing from the main topic. Once again, you have all my prayers for the speedy recovery of your friend. I agree that insurance may not be the "be all and end all" in these situations but it certainly will take away a lot of burden from friends and families in these situation and let them focus on issues with the most priority. All I was trying to put forward was the importance of health insurance in this country and create an awareness that everyone should try to get one.
