 Thats false ... though. . california is a state where  alot of nepalese are getting green card. and i have seen many prople they drop in california .. for those things.

i think he should still be able to  attend a community college or if he have money then there are private schools as well
tara if u r gonna go then go to new york new mexico or Utah because these states are going to give ids to everyone

ok here is the problem...he quit his studies..that makes him out of status...his visa ran out...he got everything..id ..ssn...but he needs a safer and more liberal state to live in...so he dont have to live in fear...as far as i have heard cali is safer..ny is too crowded...so suggest me here..

how about filing asylum..by law it says u have to file within a year of entry in the US but i have seen my frens applying and being approved even after 2-3 years ..they too screwed up their studies ..INS rejected to reinstate their F1 status..moved to california..filed asylum in california stating that the situation in recent days has changed ...the odds are high of getting approved in cali..lawyers are cheaper..all the documents are made in cali..u don't have to worry about the documents ...however the negative side is that if rejected chances r u will get caught and deported if u stay in the same address...

my suggestion ..head to california..find a good lawyer...file asylum..if approved u r settled if not head to newyork and get lost in the crowd..don't get in trouble with the cops..till then u r fine

thanx for the concern guys....my cousion he's been here for almost 5 yrs..if u guys know any good lawyers in cali or in newyork..it would be a great help..

There is a attorney in SANFRISCO,CALIFORNIA. His name is Manpreet Singh Graha.....He is a good one as I heard from friends. You can google his info. Not sure what you are trying to do. GoodLuck!
