Naturally, after seeing a long discussion thread on fraction and multiplicaiton of Los Angeles nepali communities and dashain party, obviously, I was tempted to see the photos when they were uploaded. Unfortunately, the party should have been great, but so far the photos???

Total 80 photos
Upside down - 10
Repeated for same scene and persons (5-7 repeatation x 5-6 six photos)
Very personal looking photos - 15
Misaligned and out of focus - 10

Anyway, good to see 3-4 very nice photos. I wish the photos from such gathering be able to represent all segments of program and audience.

Please keep on practicing some camera skills during social events and web uploading before next dashain.

lol. I saw this lady in gold colored dress in 20+ pic. Reason could be:
1. There were no ladies present.
2. She owns the camera hence the pics are all hers.
3. Put up your own reason.

bro, that is not DASHAIN PARTY, that is pradhan family party. We did not have any big dashain gathering because nepali-american society here is fun by a huge nepali pradhan family, and one of ther daughter runs it, no one is satisfied with what is going on, as you can see there were handful people who went to that party.

Yep, Finally found a great place we can go on till 6am so the plan is to finalize the date. The venue by the way is in Culver City and lots of parking and away from the residential area. Might need some help to get it going. Nepali people unite......one luv nepali maya. will keep you all posted. Just need to see more people interested in coming...........

OHH... 200+ PEOPLE, thats not TRUE, I know and i have seen that most of the people who went to that party were all close family memebers of PRADHANS, thats for sure, everyone here in LA knows that, folks click last years dashain party pictures of LA and then decide if there were 200+ people or not, and there were no complaints because there were very few people to went there..

and about MAYA, we had lottsa fun last year, waiting for this MAYA II now, but bro venue chahi thulo hunu paryo hai, last year ko jasto hoina..

nepaliG - Looks like these bros are just trying to play neutral and not get on the bad side of the JPs. Maybe they are planning to run for the elections tomorrow and don't want the JPs to reject them.. haha! Kudos to the organizers though for at least attempting to make it look all good and to the people who went and made the best of such a party...
Maya II lasi kurda kurda javani nai dhali sakyo yaar.... make it happen soon Himalayan bro.! How about during the thanksgiving weekend? Many people would have time off and a dance party would be nice to digest all the turkey..

Mamta - haha! I don't think everyone who went to that party were newars but if there were 200+ people I think 185 of them were one way or the other part of the JPs. Like I said Kudos to people who can enjoy such a party and kudos to the ones that took the time organize it even when they knew it was mostly going to be a family attendees..

nepaliG, mamata and kanchi seems busy counting how many ppl attended :p I was hoping ya guys will organize some kinda party by now, i guess not...make sure you come to Maya II and help Himalayan DJ to sell tix ;)

I have lived in few US cities and never seen the Nepali ppl divided as in LA....

If you don't like the current organization why not have your own and ya can celebrate birthday, dashain, xmas party and what not.... btw don't forget the Hannukah :)

HIGHFLY for ANSCA PREZ!!!

Mr AX, we are not like you CHAMPCHA, if you wont go to that party maybe one of pradhan family will call you up and talk shit about people who do not like ANSCA and think it is solely dominated my Pradhan family. And AX we had our won party, some close freinds, dashain tika, and Kashi ko massu. if you think nepalis in LA are divided then why dont you go to other cities where we find UNDIVIDED nepalis????
