I also heard on FM.
Its sad. My condolence to his family and relatives/friends.

The news is true, Cool Pokharel is no more. He died while sleeping at around 3 p.m. (Nepali time) October 4. His post mortem took place this morning and the doctors discovered an overdose of some drugs his friends identified as "tabs". Preparations are being made to take his body to Narayanghat to his parents for last rites. He was a talented musician who came up with songs quite different from present Nepali pop trend. Check out www.coolpokharel.com. He lived by his name, was really cool and a really nice guy. May he rest in peace.

May his soul rest on peace. I feel very sad to hear the news of death of such young souls. The reason of death is more heartening and asks why youngs need over dose of drugs?

I have never heard of Cool Pokharel either. I am more curious to know more about him now since he being from Narayangarh.

Condolences to the grieving family, Nepalese music industry and Nepalese community. Premature demise of a rising musician on OD is absolutely disheartenning.

Although I got into listening Nepali music quite recently, I was impressed by some of the artists who were trying to emulate "NepaliPAN" in thier music.Cool Pokhrel was one of them.One of his songs "Yestai nai ho gaule jiwan" vividly reminds us the hardship of growing up in poverty stricken village. It so sad that a young artist had to die for no reason.

Taking postive out of this sad situation it should be a reminder that drugs us vicious poison not to be taken....stay away from it..

may his soul rest in peace; may his family gather enough courage to go through these unforgiving times..

I still have doubt regarding the death of this Pokhrel guy.
