According to USCIS they received approximately 172,500 applications for H1-B 2015 cap. This means you only have almost 49% of chance (For advanced degree) or 42% chance (for non advanced degree) of get selected for this years cap.

I have applied for advanced degree exemption and it is been 14 days since my application reached to USCIS. I haven't heard anything from my lawyer. According to USCIS, they have already selected 20,000 Advanced degree quota and 65,000 general quota by April 10.

My concern is, did USCIS already notified those 85,000 applicaitons? I have got nothing from my lawyer until now. Does that means, I am not selected? I am in intense pressure, my OPT is expiring in a couple of months from now. How long it takes to notify all the applicants that they are picked up or not for the further processing? Anyone? any clue?

Its too early to get notification. If I remember properly, my attorney got notice after a month or so.

Was your normal processing time or premium? Mine is normal processing time.

I had premium processing and it still took about a month to get the notice.

Depends.. one of the my friend got the receipt notice today. He had premium processing.

I had normal processing. So you can relax for now.
Actually there is a group in facebook called h1b wiki. People generally update their status there. I followed that group to know the updates from other people. I guess even trackitt.com does it.

I heard that USCIS first inform your school after lottery is completed. I recommend you to call international office and find out. Good Luck !!

USCIS has started sending out receipt notices for Premium Processing. Expect to get a receipt notice in a wk or two for regular processing. Good Luck to all applicant.

I hear many people waiting for the notification from USCIS. I know its hard. I have been waiting too. I am premium processing, Bachelor Degree. For Regular Quota, Premium processing, you need to wait till April 28th. If u do not hear by then, your chances or getting it is below 5%. I know sometime u get it but still the probability is below 5%. I think by the end of this week they will send more than 60%-80% for premium processing.
Only thing u can do is wait. I know its tough. But that's the only thing u can do.

I had premium processing last year and I think I got notice within a week.

I would think, they send back all the applications that were not selected on the lottery first,no ? and then reach out to the folks whose petition were selected on the draw ?

MVC, as far I know you are right. They will refund all fees associated with your application (except lawyer's fee). Not sure how they reach to the selected petitioners.

I called my lawyer today and she told they are getting receipt numbers for regular processing too. I wonder how many of you have already received this.

@gone crazy..If you meant that you were not selected on the random selection last year, you will not go through the lottery process this year..

I was selected on last week of April last year. So don't lose hope. But I was in regular processing.
