Everybody is being nostalgic over the places they belong to or they grew up? So why shud we leave Kathmandu behind?So come on ktmites...lets go ga ga over our Capital ?

KTM....AHHHHHHHH.....The place where i spent more than 8 yrs. of life.....Such a good place..I love ktm more than biratnagar.Infact ktm is the place which i love most than any city of nepal............

The Infamous Places and the memories

1. The narrow alley behind Kathmandu Ganeshthan.
2. Our very own Thamel..if u don't look like Nepali , the offers u get on the streets
-T&T
-Tantra
-Bamboos
-Junkies Joint behind GAA
-Upstairs
-The infamous Bhotini cashier at Fire and Ice.
-The tattoo studio and his German Shepherd

3.The Jave Cafe near Lincoln School( it never came out how many died of overdose till date,arnico where r u ? )
4.Of course our dadas full of weeds(surrounding the valley),the famous bamboo container with Jee, the famous oranges of the budhi in Chobhar.
5.The coffee sipping dealers at all the outlets of Java,
6.The infamous Shuvatara putra, the last resort ...
7.Our very own Freak Street
8.The chase of Snow Men's son
9.Roof tops of Darbar Square
10.Fainting on the so called Concert
11.The puke filled restrooms
12.Most haunted dance floors(free ones)
13.Friday nite parties at 1905.
14.The famous situps(punishment) by the cops on the streets of Kingsway(they were so scared to take us IN)
15.Gay parties at BMRevisited and club dynasty(not so good coincidence)
16.Pros & Gigolos at Red onion Bar & all the famous Casinos(they will not even look at u)
17.Stalked by the so called then minister of Nepal (scared the hell out of us)
18. The deadly muscular Bhote dais of Boudha.




The best places
1. All the temples and the evening prayers with Muwa
2. Haunting for the rite kind of Puja stuffs in Ason.
3. The best momos
4. The Rickshaw and the tips
5. Jerry Swari from the shop older than me
6. Sneaking out to Kingsway in the late hours of nite(I live closeby)
7. Watching the bats coming to life every evening
8. A short walk to Thamel from Home.
9. Bargaining for everything
10. Talking in Broken Newari with local vendors
11 Adam Teasing on the footpath of KW.
12. Bowling at 1905, and Soaltee
13. Driving without license and racing with the so called Bikers, haha they(ktm guys) cannot stand a gal behind the wheel, it is an auto challenge for them.
14. The rude and extra polite traffic police officer, scary huge women traffic police on
the road of Putalisadak
15. Discounted early morning shows in Jai Nepal and people munching popcorns during
the movies
16. Thakali Kitchen, Newari kitchen near Mike’s Breakfast.
17. Playing hide and seek with the Mr.Annapurna Arcade in KW.
18.The guy who always waited in every vacation at the same hang out spot every
year, how accurate was his calculation?
19.The Road side Panipurris and channa chat.
20.All the bookshops(Mandala, EBH,Pilgrims), Music shop(Dexo) and the smiling dais out there.
21.Buying kites and laatais from the factory at Naradevi
22.School kids passing comments from the overcrowded school buses and smiling back at them on their so called innocence.
23. The holy and lolas coming from nowhere.
24.The pan shop near Jain Mandir

-->Hanging out at Himalayan Java, watching KTM's hotties with the pot-bellied :p
-->Meeting frens in front of the RNAC building
-->Going on a bumpy ride in the Kaalo tempo, on the streets of Thamel (a shorter route to New Road ;)
-->Sumai's famous OPEN MOMO in Teku
-->Going for swimming in Hotel Sherpa's swimming pool :)
-->Listen to Ashish and Prasan mock their callers. SUCH JERKS!

BASANTAPUR!!! sitting right on top of the tallest mandir.

I recall having tea very late at night (or is it very early in the morning???) . . . in the small tea shops near Bir Hospital.

I miss KTM.Pretty soon,I'm going there :-) but will stay for short period :-(
I'll tell u guys what I'v missed once I come back!!

I miss KTM and its surrounding quiet hills. Also miss uncountable oil lamps in the dark evenings around Boudhanath and Swayambhunath stupas on special days. Also miss tranquil view from Nagarkot.

Hey who wants to go Hari pub....? (it is run by Hari dai so we use to call Hari pub...) Joche ma...and Jasmine restaurant....of Niraj....and SnowMan......and yes that coffee shop opposite of Top Class Shoe:)......evening get together meeting point....and that restaurant....beside Top Class shoe.......what was that called.>>>?????? I don't remember that.....recall my mind friends.....! If anyone knows:)....Cheersss....

oh really that is awesome......man...we use to go there to drink when we use to run out of money ......and that sapu micha...man....I still get water in my mouth when I say that.....we became friend after sometime with his sons......and we use to sit together late night and jam up....lol...we did enjoy those days...a lot......Actually my friend Anup Manandhar started calling Hari pub....so we all liked that name... and started calling Hari Pub.......! Anyway.....will post again....tomorrow and see who else knows this place....Good night!

I terribly miss smokin' weed on the rooftop of bamboos....those were the best days of my life....Our motto in those days was....why to drink n die when u can smoke n fly...
