hey can anyone solve this mistry how 100 kaurabs were born from the same mom and dad in mahabharat? Is it possible to have 100 kids in one life time,,i thought it takes atleast 9 months before a girl gets pregnant and she delivers a baby alive..

if i am mathematically correct age difference between duryodhan and his youngest bro should have been atleast 90 years even if his mom had been getting pregnant incessantly,,and in the war with pandaws and allies duryodhan should have been there with a walking stick while his youngest bro still in diaper and wanting to play all those wonderful toys,,,

so mahabharat does not make sense to me,,anyway if any of it is true then I would say dhritarastra is great,,,u sure make a match with Ron Jeremy...

Dude First off didn't you get any other decent topic to talk about?

Second, that was the only thing you could think that souds absurd, in Mahabharat?

Lastly, have you ever heard of Twins, triplets and quintuplets. If a mother gives birth to penta-tuplets (5 kids, whatever the term is) then she can finish that ration within 20 years. Okay that sounds difficult, but is a possible answer. 20 yrs difference between brothers ain't that bad.

As far as I know... Gandhari was not the only wife of Dhritarastra. He had around ten wives. Kauravs are known as sons of Dhritarastra, not Gandhari. Duryodhan is Gandhari's son. She was the first queen of Dhritarastra and her son Duryodhan was the first would be king. Dhritarastra even had a son from his servant. Later he had major role in Mahabharat. Forgot the his name. Now don't get surprised that a man can have 10 wives. hehe..

About your comparing Dhritarastra with Ron Jeremy, Tell me, given a chance, you can't sleep with one girl per day for 365 days.

If you haven't studied "Mahabharata" in detail and understood it, you can not doubt or question about it just because you have heard certain story or certain line somewhere. First read it, understand it and then question it. I haven't read it yet. But I of course seem to know more than you do. Ditto with Bible or Kuran, or any other Holy book or any other regular book. How can you ask a question about a certain line in that book, when you haven't read the whole book and understood it?

CLONING Babu haru ho CLONING KO KARAMAT HUN SAB KAURAB HARU.

Kalanki,Please correct me where I'm wrong. Just testing how much I remember.

The servant's son was BIDHUR, THE WISE ONE.

King SANTANU married * MACHYAGANDHA ( daughter of a fisherman). BISHMA, King SANTANU's son from GODDESS GANGA reliquishes his claim to the throne in favor of his father's sons who would come out from the womb of MATCHYAGANDHA in the near future. Bishma's vow not to sit on his father's throne, not to marry, not to have any children is known to us as. BISHMA PRATIGYA. In a short time, out of SHANTANU's and MATSAGANDHA's lovelock were born , two sons CHITRANGAD AND BICHITRAVIRYA.

Now after KING SANTANU passed away, he was succeeded by both his sons he sired from the fishergirl, MATSYAGANDHA also known as SATYABATI. Bishma ruled as regent as both the boys were young. Time passed quickly and the boys now had grown into young, charming lads - time had come to find their concerts. In a nearby country, three princess AMBA, AMBIKA & AMBALIKA were of marriagable age and their father was looking for suitable KINGS to give their hands away. BISHMA won those three princess and brought them home to marry them to his two brothers. The eldest AMBA fell in love with BISHMA and wanted to marry him. He already had taken a vow, he could marry AMBA. AMBA, in anger immolated herself. From the raging fiery death of fire which was engulfing her, she cursed BHISMA," May I be the cause of your death." Then after sometime both CHITRANGAD and BICHITRABIRYA were killed in a war.

The two brothers didnot have any children. Now who would rule the Kingdom? At that time MACHYAGANDHA decided to call her first born -SAGE VED BYAS. BYAS was born to MATCYAGANDA when she was a very young girl, way back before she met SANTANU. She had an affair with sage DURBASHA and BYAS was born out of wedlock. The newly born infant BYAS - got up and walked away carrying is umbilical chord. Before he went he looked for the last time at his mother and said, " MOTHER, WHEN YOU NEED ME, JUST THINK ABOUT ME , I'LL BE THERE BEFORE YOU".

So when MATSYAGANDA called out him, in the next moment he was standing in front of her. "OH! MOTHER, WAHT CAN I DO FOR YOU". His mother told him to go and sleep with the widows of his half brothers, AMBIKA and AMBALIKA. Byas said he would sleep with them three times. The two widows were aghast, BYAS looked UGLY, smelled like SHIT. First AMBIKA went, she closed her eyes while BYAS gave her his semen. She gave birth to DHRITARASTRA who was born blind. THen AMBALIKA went, when she saw him, her skin turned pale yellow in horror. She gave birth to PANDU -who was born with congenital skin disease. Then the last time, the third time, they could not bear to see the face and smell of BYAS, so they send their slave girl, who happlily slept with the sage and out their union was born BIDUR. BiDUR was the eye of DHRITARASTRA - relaying him what was transpiring , happening in the DHARMACHETRA, KURUCHETRA.

Nice deatils there Queen. But I should correct you about one thing. Bidur later became the prime minister of Dhritarastra. He was Dhritarastra's eyes in a sense, but not the one to narrate him whatever happened in Kuruchetra. Sanjay, Dhritarastra's old time "sarathi", was the one to narrate the war. He was given the "Dibyadristi" by guru Vyas.

Thanks for the correction. Little knowledge is dangerous bhaneko yahi ho. I completely had forgotten about Sanjaya. Now I remember, in the very first part of GITA, Dhritarastra asks Sanjaya ,

"Sanjay Dharmachetra ma pandu ra mera chora haru ke gari raheka chan"

Guys not to forget but Mahabhart movie didnot show that but it is mention on book....
Duryadhon was Charity guy ...which is proved from making karna ( sutputra) king which was abondend by Pandavas...In his life Duryadon did lot of charity and made many brothers and sisters by accepting them as a family..He was a nice block but he has been potrayed really bad.
Story goes like this..

When battle of Mahabharat was over....Ghandari wanted to record all the epic and he went to Vishwamitra requesting him to rite the story but he was busy in meditation so he advised to go to hanuman but rejected saying he has devoted life on praying ram he recommed Ved Vyas who happend to be residing near kaski way to pokhara. There is a cave of Ved vyas sitll exist...you have to get down to khareni on way to pokhara and walk. Another fact , ghandari was a princess for Khandar now in Afganistan.
There is also another fact that after the battle of Mahabharat the casulities were more than millions. If u guys go to khurusthara which is 2 hours drive from delhi...dont forget to visit the place where arjun hit the arrow and water came for vishmapita maha..There is still a fountain.

cheers jai shiva

Cheers

That was quite a detail from pade queen. But lemme take the liberty to correct some misinformation.
"The eldest AMBA fell in love with BISHMA and wanted to marry him."
---> Amba was not in love with Bhisma... instead she was in love with "Salwa Naresh". Infact they were dating each other but Amba was scared of Bhisma when he stromed at her father's "Raaj bhawaan" and took her away along with her sisters... with all the "beer" from "Bharat Varsha" acepting defeat in front of mighty & unconquerable Bhisma; she could not tell him that she was in love with Salwa Naresh. Later, Salwa Naresh attacked Bhisma on his way back to "Hastinapur". Bhisma defeats Salwa Naresh and gives him "Jeewan Daan". (Actually Salwa Naresh and Bhisma had fought b4 as well, when Bhisma comes back to his dad, regarding a horse, i reckon. He gave Jeevan Daan to Salwa Naresh then as well). Infact, after reaching Hastinapur, Amba requests Satyabati to let her go to Salwa Naresh and they let her; but Salwa Naresh rejects her saying he already lost her to Bhisma in war. She then asks Bhisma to marry her since he was the one who was the cause of all that... and so goes the story of her apparent anger, resentment for Bhisma and blah blah.........
"Byas said he would sleep with them three times"
-----> Rishi Vyas never said he is gonna sleep with them three times. It was after he told Satyawati about the reaction of buharis and its would be unfortunate outcome, Satyawati orders one of them to go again to vyas, but the buharis sends one of their dasi. ( And ofcourse sexy dasi is all over vyas eheheh; and thus Bidur naam ko ankur futteko :p)
And ofcourse, the most important one is the one Gorkhadogg pointed out. Well, neverthless it was very comendable job Pade Queen. Well... of all "traditional" serials, Mahabharat certainly was/is the best.
********************
And MM......."Duryadhon was Charity guy ...which is proved from making karna ( sutputra) king which was abondend by Pandavas.."
-------->I can't disagree about the first statement but well about making Karna, a King.... well common now... he saw Karna as someone who can actually rival and ultimately defeat Arjun in turn defeating Pandavs, which unfortunately was his life long dream; courtesy Sakuni. But the point is... making Karna, a King after seeing his power, and his own "Swartha" doesn't make one Charitable person in my humble opinion.
And Pandavs did not abandon Karna, they simply did not know he was their brother. Remember, kunti actually left Karna in basket to fight his own fate alone in the river when he was not even a day old?
**********************
And regarding the first post of this thread.... I am more or less positive that Karavs were indeed sons of Dhritarastra and Gandhari, but Gandhari did not give birth to them physically... some puja and prayers and they were conceived just the way Karna was... by ashirbad.... from khai ko God or maybe rishi.. so all were born afai bucket socket ma... ya know just the way Pandavs were not conceived by Kunti and Madri but were bardaan from different gods, but still are known as pandu and kunti/madri putras.... well Enuff said.
Phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.. my longest post in Sajha... and i don't write much here... ehehhe... perhaps m a lil drunk ehehehe.. but these are fact based on the book and tele serial.
So long... have a great weekend guys.
Tired, IndisguiSe:)

Hmm Interesting Story Moneyminded. Is that fountain for real, I mean is it like a hole on the earth or something? What about Kurukshetra, is it a desert or a village? Can you put in more details?

Aaaanch Pade Queen and Indisguise, I am extremly tirimiri after seein' your knowledge on Mahabharat. Mahabharat is so much tirimiri-jhyai that if somebody gave that book to Einstine to read and tested him, he would have failed MAH101 class. 4 Levels of calculus are easier to figure out than 'who gave birth to whom and under what circumstances'. eh. Mahabharat we find today is abridged version ho kyare. Full version dhyan diyera padhyo bhane ali dimag ma ghusla. :P

I like this part in Mahabharat. Pandavs are portrayed as good and Kauravs as bad right? And at the end Good defeats bad but the game is not over yet. After they die, Pandavs (except Yudhisthir) go to HELL for their own sins, whereas Kauravs go to HEAVEN because they were killed during the war and they achieved "veergati"... eh. So, nachaahine kaam nagarnu, otherwise they will keema-fry you in hell... hehe.

>>Karna was... by ashirbad.... from khai ko God or maybe rishi.. so all were born afai bucket socket ma...
LMAO!!

Hey guys,

I wasnt aware of Amba-Bhisma relation.... but isnt amba, ambika, ambalika thing this way::

amba and ambika were the princesses and ambalika was a servent.

vyas did it with these three women. for amba and ambika, he was jethaju. and remember in our society women are not supposed to touch their jethaju.. many women do not even show their hair to them... i know, many married women even touch the gundri (mattress) their jethajus are sitting on. and many women put on pachheura or majetro as soon as they spot their jethajus... well, it might be out of date in ktm though.

so, vyas was jethaju for amba and ambalika, and fot them, it was a laajlagdo thing to sleep with him.

vyas did it with amba. as she was too shy, she closed her eyes throughout the intercouse.. so, dhristarastra was born a blind.

vyas did it with ambika. she was shy too... and i forgot what she did (as if i was looking at the whole thing??) but she did something silly as well. becoz of that pandu had weak health (rogi; i hope it wasnt AIDS) throughout his life.

vyas did it with ambalika too. she was just a servant, so she didnt have to be as shy as the other two... and because of that was born a brilliant and a healthy and a smart bidur who later grew to become the prime minister.

qalab, you are comparing our society with "yug purano" society.
More than 2000 years ago, there were women warriors in Iran. Look at women of Iran today.

Lets take it this way. I dont care if mahabharat was real or unreal. One thing for sure, i can say is there was a big war which is shown by Barren land of Khurushetra which extends to kilometers. There is still no sign of any vegetation. when i visited there, i saw the fountain which is amazing. I cant say ppl build that as story. It has small hole from where water is coming which exactly fits the blade of arrow. There is big pond. In those bareen land it is impossible to have water coming from feet coming down there. They have also found the weapons used buried underneath.
What facinates me?
Sanjay was lucky dude to have first live telecast of war..which is live telecast in history
Second, arrow arjun and karna use;....out of one arrow use to emerge 50 arrows which fits the Multiple missle of present day
third, The brahma astra which is mention in mahabharat equal to atomic bomb of present era and only given to karan and arjun ( means too big power)

Some of the research show that ........the battle was not only taking in one place it was all over like world war...it was extended till persia, afganistan, himalayas and down to lanka. It is possible coz the empire was really powerful and duryadhan was like US now...so if he calls for allies everyone had to come.

I still belive duryadhon was a charity guy. ........He has been also mentioned that king who never send any guy came to door empty hand. There is also mentioned that he gave his pearl locket to this poor suffering guy which he saw on the way. He didnot take karma for granted coz he was rival of arjun but he saw it was not far for someone who is good warrior to be discrimated by Dronacharya...

Drohacharya....

kalankisthan,
you have a point. but there is a big BUT:

iranians were not muslims then.. they had their own religion (which was closedly linked to hinduism). there was a big interaction between persia and the indian subcontinent.... linguistic similarities prove that. with the change in religion, most of their traditions and cultural values have changed.

but look at us, we were hindus throughout our history (it's the oldest religion). when hindus were attacked, they fought (either killed or got killed) or ran away. unlike most of other socities then, our purkhas didnt surrender the religion.... and thus, the tradition continued on , though i wont deny that some of them faded away and new chalans got into way....

however, family values havent changed. so, i do still believe that amba and ambalika had a lot of reluctance on going to bed with their jethaju.

sum up it all: almost all the other people have changed their tradition but we havent... and, i wont take your argument of, iranian social being of 2000 yrs back as a good point enough in this context.

Guys, I don't know if Amba and Ambalika had to actually sleep with the stinky Vyas, like getting laid, literally speaking.
Isn't it true that he made them pregnant with his divine power? Like by casting a ray of powerful light from his eyes onto their tummies.
Anyways, lucky Vyas if he actually got to sleep with those good looking princess. He probably didn't any in years and all of a sudden gets laid with fine looking chicks.
Lucky dude.

Peace.
