Let's discuss about the TPS extension that is expected to happen today (till the end of day). The following notes should be considered:
1. Federal register schedule of publication notices: 8:45 AM, 11:15 AM and 4:15 PM ET. (not published yet)
2. The sites that need to be followed:

3. If TPS is not extended by DHS, it will be extended at least 6 months counting from Dec 24, 2016 for smooth termination so that people can reinstate their original immigration status.
4. If TPS is extended, the EAD will be automatically extended up to 6 months and can be used to work with the same expired EAD but needs to apply for new within this period.
 5. I will also discuss about required documents for re-registering TPS later in this thread, if it is extended.
Please let me know if you need any information about this. I will share whatever I know. I have been working/following/discussing/conferencing on this issues for few months.

We will go in detail on the document part, don't worry. Please just wait for it's extension first. It does not make any sense to discuss it before the announcement of TPS extension. I will update it once it is announced.

Quick question- how about the people without the approval yet?
Can they apply with the first application still in pending status?

From my research, if your application is still pending, you do not have to reapply, your initial application will be considered for for extension.

You need to call USCIS ASAP cause you have a valid reason why  it is still in pending status and they have the obligation to answer or resolve your situation. Tell your situation and ask them for expedite your case.

You can apply again for TPS (if it is extended) as you are always eligible if you meet the TPS criteria. But then, what's the meaning of applying it the second time , your first application being still in review process. Something is not right. Please contact them as soon as possible. I am not a lawyer, can't tell you the exact, correct, cheap and ideal solution. But seeing your condition, you need to contact them, the only first thing that I can see for now.

Today is the last date for extension of TPS or not ???

Today is the expected day to be announced about the TPS extension. They might not have prepared well to finalize it or publish it. Some thing is pending. Hopefully, they will announce it tomorrow. It's exactly 61 days count from today to Dec 24, 2016 which is the expiry date. In this case, tomorrow is the mathematical day to be valid to announce it. It might not be the valid reason why they did not announce today, sorry for that. I surprise what the hell they are doing without doing nothing, they have clearly told that they will let us know before 2 months and same thing has happened to other countries too.

So let's hope for tomorrow. We can do nothing, it's their country and their decision.

@admin Actually tomorrow will be the day with 61 days remaining for TPS expiration, So we can expect either the extension or transition period news tomorrow based on previous occurrences.

Based on my readings, we should expect to re register for TPS by resending Form I-821 and I-765 (with a photocopy of previous TPS EAD). What are your comments on these?

So while getting the documents ready, I realized that I do not have a TPS EAD approval Letter which should be similar to TPS approval, I only have the page where the EAD came attached. People I have talked to today don't have the letter as well. How about everyone here, do you have a TPS EAD approval Letter similar to the TPS approval letter?

Note : People do get a EAD Letter for the F1 opt EAD, so that letter exists. I just am not sure about the TPS EAD.
