Another one: Five runners - A, B, C, D and E took part in a race. There were 3 medals - gold, silver and bronze up for grabs. A betting house took bets for each of the following five outcomes. 1) A won't win gold, B won't win silver. 2) C will win a medal, and D will not. 3) D and E will both win medals. 4) D will not win silver, E will not win bronze. 5) A will win a medal, and C will not. All the people bet on any of the above five outcomes lost their money. Who won the gold, silver and bronze medals?

Slack I also made the same mistake. I thought 1 goat=1 chicken+ 1 dog. However, I don't think the question was phrased wrong. It just wasn't phrased optimally. 1 goat=1 chicken + 1 dog, only when the dog never belonged to Rambo. He clearly said, he will give Shyambo ONE OF HIS DOG. If he is giving one of his dog, then that dog has to be subtracted from his account. Let's move on.

The triangle question: IF you look at the first image, the slope of the main triangle is not actually a straight line, though very close to one. Because the slope of the two smaller triangles are not the same. You can tell by the ratio of their perpendicular and base sides - 2:5 and 3:8. The slope of the red triangle (with sides 3 and 8 units) is slightly less than the smaller one (with sides 2 and 5). So in the first image, the straight line is actually bending inwards, taking up the space of that single square you see in the 2nd picture. In the 2nd picture, when the smaller triangles are switched, the line is bending outwards, freeing up space for that single square unit.

Republican, the line (slop) is bend and not a straight line! well, then I can say 1+1=3. Runners, D won the silver as well Aalu as an extra medal for knocing down B from its place heheh Typo, Is not D and E but B and E got Aalu.

Okay, friends, here's a new one. I will try to be as clear and as explicit as possible to keep the question from being ambiguous. The setup. You are in the basement of a house looking at three light switches all in the off position. Each switch is connected to one 100 watt, 60 watt, and 40 watt light bulb, respectively, in the attic. You cannot see the attic or any of the lights from here. The question: How can you figure out which switch goes to which light, if you may only go up the stairs to the attic one time?

U can use an ammeter and get the amperage, then multiply it by 120V. ;) "Each switch is connected to one 100 watt, 60 watt, 40 watt.." Did you mean each switch is connected to 3 bulbs OR one switch to 100, another to 60 etc. See your question is ambiguous already.

Yes, Kiddo, "each switch is connected to one 100 watt, 60 watt, 40 watt." Also, "you are in the basement of a house looking at three light switches all in the off position. And, finally, the question is, " How can you figure out which switch goes to which light, if you may only go up the stairs to the attic one time?"

If each switch is connected to one 100, one 60 and 40 watt then EACH switch goes to all 3 lights. I think u wanna say, one switch is connected to 100 watt, other one to 60 and the last one to 40 watt, not in the order of placement. I hope I catch ur drift.

Are those light bulbs placed in any perticuler formation with series like 100,60,40 and 40,60,100 or random like 40,100,60 and 60,100,40.

If you realized RESPECTIVELY was so important, then why did you miss it in your last post >> Yes, Kiddo, "each switch is connected to one 100 watt, 60 watt, 40 watt." Also, "you are in the basement of a house looking at three light switches all in the off position. I was just trying to understand the question right. Your use of "Each" is not a proper use grammatically. You cannot use the word "each" there and claim it is not an ambiguous question. If you still think it is, then read the question just above this post. Ur questions are good though, keep 'em coming. Just trying to annoy u and correct ur grammer.
