in my opinion we should save the institution of monarchy in Nepal. I feel we need that institution.

I don't care much on this now.... pretty much monarchy has gone to drain.

The weaker the rightest and middle forces are in nepal the stonger the leftist force becomes.It is very simple.For those who believe end of King is not begining of communism (what ever they name it) are all dreaming..world and history has shown how prosperous communist nations are???..People's expectation and freedom will be crushed by commie leaders.Interesting will be future of Nepal...just interesting..(no negative of pessimistic comments)

I'll vote for the institution of monarchy, a ceremonial one with sociocultural significance / and a symbol of national unity but with no political power.

This is necessary I think, simply because I can't imagine Girija / Prachanda or anyone else at Indrajatra 'or' Bhotojatra celebrations / Fulpaati 'or' Shree Panchami at Basantapur 'or' lot of other cultural / historical customs and rituals which are deeply ingrained in the lives the nepalese. And I can't imagine the picture of Prachanda smiling in front of the living goddess 'Kumari' 'or' Girija exchanging 'Khadga' on 'khadga jatra', lol.

However, this is just the views as per my sentiments. Others may differ in their opinions.

The real question here is not for or against monarchy but what is the force behind it.

People can say whatever they want about monarchy but this institution UNITED people of all walks and give them one common identity of being a nepali.

unlike the maoists, whose main goal is to divide nepal in the form of separation by regions based on ethnic background. which is going to lead to more communal conflicts in the future.

divided nepal = weaker nepal = india's sikkim 2 If Not india's bhutan for sure
