watch Holloween part 1, 2, 3! or the nights of the living dead. They are the greatest horror movies of all time.

Exorcist is also the one good horror movie--but I didnt like it horrifyingly.

If want thriller movie to watch--SAW part 1 or part 2.

I love watching horror movies, but am sad to say that most fall short on horror factor.

I have not watched the one Red recommended, The Shutter, is it? I will have to check it out in Netflix.

Here are few of the horror movies that I have watched. I have rated them with stars - 5 being an outstanding and 1 being an absolute bore.

Exorcist I (the new release) *****<<<<<5 stars>>>>>
Exorcist II *
Exorcist III***
Exorcist IV (the beginning) ***
Exorcism of Emily Rose ****
The Shining ***
The Ring ****
The Ring II *
The Grudge (I have seen only Japanese version) **
The Eyes (Taiwanese) **
The Locker (Japanese) ***
The Amityville Horror **
The Gift ****
Sleepy Hollow *****<<<<<5 stars>>>>>
Poltergeist **
The Omen ***
Evil Dead I ***
Evil Dead II**
Evil Dead III (it's a comedy, not horror)
American Werewolf in London ***
Dark Water **
The Fog *

I have ordered the classic "Ghost Story" from Netflix. Will have to let you know how it is once I see it.

Chatmandude, PLease see "BIRANA" in comedy movie catagory. It's no more horror scary movie. It used to be horror when we were too young. Now you will laugh when u watch it. Try searching in Comedy. LOL

Interesting! I was discussing the same topic with my room mates the other day. Exorcist certainly was one of the thrilling horror movies to hit the hollywood arena which boomed a box office clatter that even the great Alfred Hitchcock had to admire. My favorite Hitchcock classic is Psycho. He is at his best and provides a complex psychological thriller with deafening graphics and timid suspense. The subtelty with which he hits the theme and some real symbolic imagery makes Psycho a classic horror movies of all time. There is no second to the genius of Alfred Hitchcock and it is a testament to his crafts. It if important to note that the 60s did not have the modern flicks of graphics but with a little art this is a definite must watch for all horror lovers.
