NEW YEAR - Thousands of Nepalese residing in New York and other cities in the US lined up on both sides of the street in front of the UN building in New York to protest King Gynendra's assumption of absolute power earlier this year.

The New York police had to arrest hundreds of protesters when the protest turned voilent and the protesters started throwing rotton tomatoes and eggs at the King's limosine when it slowly passed the huge gathering. Anti monarchy slogans were heard and huge banners and placards were on display all over the streets of New York.

Cindy Sheehan was the honarary grand marshal for the rally that followed. During her hour long speech she said " President Bush should pull out all american troops from occupied Nepal immediately since Nepal has no oil". Tthe rally started at the UN building in New York and ended infront of the Royal Nepalese Embassy in Washington DC, where the protestors were given chai and samosa and then everyone dispersed and went home.

George Bush was given wrong intelligence about Nepal. Oil instead of water flows in every river in Nepal quoted CIA. Bush still insists that and believes in the xause of attack.

I like DAlli Resham...DAlli Resham is the blonde of Sajha.

OhH God, its a freaking friction. What is true in above stroy?? Its just a freaking parody. If I am not wrong its a satire against the protesters here in US who are protesting as if AMericans are the occupying force in Nepal.

Peace out

When you have to spell out s-a-t-i-r-e for a satire then the piece is doomed. Shikhar you just don't have the right audience here in sajha. Timro दूर्?भाग्?य।

Dalli ji,

I don't think you have a choice :-)

nemisis: you said it ... I was writing an op-ed piece of the UN protest .. but now have decided to scratch it .... since I realised I would be wasting my time ....
I guess I will have to stick to ashu bashing, puskar bashing, king g bashing and nepali girls bashing ....

Highlfy,

tyasari chharlangga pareko ma thanks. I was losing sleep over what the author really meant in that paragraph. Now I know for sure it is only a freaking frictional parody.

Does anyone still not understand it?
