I am trying to open a website but don't know where to buy a reliable domain from. I have heard godaddy.com is good but need your suggestion and advice. Thanks.

Go daddy is best for the price and quality, go for it.

I got mine from dreamhost.com they're giving it away for really cheap: 10 bucks a year. (120 bucks ko package ma 92% discount).

I can help you. I also do website hosting and domain registration. I can host website for $12/year and domain registration as little as $7.99/year. I also provide couple of free email youremail@yourdomain.com. If you like, you can simply email me your domain name to info@itechfix.com. I have no idea about Godaddy.I would suggest you to register your domain name from Tucktail.com at reasonable price.They provide good service with customer support.
