what's up with the statement wearing the beautiful dress without underwear.. LOL..

by the way.. i don;t have data plan in my Iphone.. if you are talking about not even using the WIFI then its obvious that you shouldn't be carrying Iphone. but most of the time i use it with the WIFI.. so.. that doesn't bother me a lot...

If you are planning a trip somewhere.. and you might not have internet access.. then DATA plan comes in action.. Except that reason i don't even worry about having a data plan..

point to be noted.. DataPlan helped us a lot during our trip for searching the hotels.. and sometimes using GPS.. (That was my Friends phone)

@Lonely bro, u said oppsite, wearing underware without dress.

I dont really think you need data plan for iphone. if u have enough access to wifi , like in home and work.  buy one gps for car. that will save your money alot.

Att data plan sucks and i am sure tmobile data will not be good for iphone so u better think about that.

@All: That is one of my friend's statement. He meant to say that if you can afford an iphone you could also afford a dataplan. That was just funny to me so I thought of sharing with you guys!
@Americane bro, buying an iphone and using a t-mobile's dataplan doesnt work? Really? I was planning to do that. Tell me more if you know.

Needless to say that any phone device with a dataplan is very useful for travelers..especially lonely ones..just like me..LOL

@Americane : Braw I had Iphone with TMobile Data plan, you can do that no problem. I did that couple of months ago, I am sure you can do that now as well..

Getting Iphone without wifi is good idea i guess caz you will be saving $20 per month for the dataplan and if you are not under contract you can get Tmobile EvenMore Plus without contract for $29.99.

On other hand with 3G / 4G you have to take Tmobile Even More Plus which is $39.99 with 24 month contract but the best part of this contract is that you can get some cool phones for really good price.

But when you do the simple math, $30 * 24 = $720 (For 2 Year Contract); if you buy a second hand iphone ($150 on ebay) you can save money. Keep an eye on second hand iphone's on ebay caz verizon just took the iphone so the att people will be selling lots of their old iphones and when the market gets saturated, iphone's gonna be really cheap.

But if you need internet asap like finding a store or something 3g might be helpful. So it totally depends on your need. If you never need 3g and you have Wifi most of the time, I would suggest doing without contract caz it's might save some money.

I have 3g but i use it quite often I have Tmobile's $10 for 200 MB.

You might think me as Tmobile rep :P but i ain't just caz i never had experience with other service.

Tmobile is giving free phones on Valentine's Day to challenge Verizon. Caz Verizon would be / started selling Iphone to it's customer. Nice time to start a new contract, with a nice phone..

Depends upon what kind of user u r lonely traveller.. If u have a 10 -5 job and have an Internet connection in your workplace than I don't really see any reason to pay extra 30 bucks on data but if you work for a chutiya dhoti, or if u r a student  than you must have one..

Having an iPhone without data plan or wifi is like owning a Ferrari in a country with the speed limit of 35mph everywhere.

By the way, I am really looking forward to iPhone 5 release on June in Verizon.

It depends on the ultimate user, how much s/he needed it vs how much s/he wanted it. Some people are crazy with it , I mean they want the latest technology as it is available, good for them and good for other who does not want to keep up with it and just go with the regular flow. But if it was back home , for status quo you may go with the latest and the most expensive plan, that is not the case in aborad.
Now most phone are 3G and up, do you need to go with the data plan , hake not. Now the tricky part is the sevice provider calls you and let you know that we will be giving you free one month web/data plan. You forget when it expire and if you do not track of your bill you will not be knowing how much you are paiying for it. Once you go over your wallet size may dig and see how you can lower your budget. One month free is rest of the contract - money making.

We made jokes on every thing , that is what you can read the bumper sticke in my LE ( sorry no luck for  xle)" Sarcasm is the one of the service I provide free" ,
