 I am doing my architecture Master's Thesis this semester and I would really appreciate if anyone would suggest me where I can find the CAD topo map of the Kathmandu valley. My site is in Kathmandu and I am really having a hard time finding the right resources. Any help would be greatly appreciated! My thesis is due in 5 months and I am having a really hard time finding the right resources! Plz help

Hey thanks nevertheless...I did have that overlay from another source...I was actually looking for a DWG file though...but thanks for your input..I am going to school at North Dakota State

 Do u even believe the auto cad dwgs of topo map of ktm valley exists??

You can get the data from ICIMOD's website: http://geoportal.icimod.org/Downloads/Download.aspx?ID=6.

Note that, it's in the shp format not dwg. However, you can use any GIS software to convert shp to dwg or at least to dxf format. Try QGis if you need a free GIS software.

hey i am also in need of kathmandu valley's maps for my masters program.. Any source to get good ones..

please ask someone from nepal to go visit Bhawan Bibhag they have autocad dwg of all kathmandu valley done some 10-12 years back. aproximately 100 plus grids with contour.
i think you can buy it from them. I had the whole thing but left it back home.
