All Nepalese + Government must involve and remove these kind of illegal Indian settlers to secure country from Indian invasion into Nepal. If we close our eyes, we will lose our sovereignty.

Police clash with illegal Indian settlers in Mahottari Nepal, 8 injured

Eight people, including two policemen, were injured in a clash between security personnel and illegal settlers in Mathiyani of Mahottari district on Sunday. The clash ensued after a team of policemen resorted to force to evict settlers from the land they had illegally occupied in the district. The illegal settlers started pelting stones at the police after the latter tried to force them out from the land on the orders of the local authority. The settlers had built make-shift huts and camps in the land. Police had to fire several rounds of tear gas shells to disperse the increasingly violent illegal settlers and finally succeeded in bringing the situation under control. In the process, six settlers were injured while two policemen were hurt by the stones pelted by the mob.Few months back, seven persons, including a policeman, were killed in a clash between security personnel and illegal settlers backed by
Maoists in Dudejhari of Kailalai district.

India erects security check post on Nepali territory

The Indian paramilitary force has allegedly built a check post on Nepali soil in the south of Kanchanpur, state-owned news agency RSS reports.

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), "seizing" land owned by Gopal Chhetri of Parasan-7, have set up a security check post.

A local resident, Dipendra Basnet, said seven Indian security personnel under the command of a constable have been deployed at the check post, 200 meters near the disputed Payara Lake.

Locals said the SSB personnel have threatened them a number of times.

"They (SSB men) do not allow me to cultivate crops on my land," said Chhetri.

Even though Nepali police teams of Armed Police Force and Area Police Office, Belauri, inspected the check post, the local administration has not taken any initiative to remove the illegal post of SSB, locals said. Nepalnews.com,  Sunday, 28 February 2010
