i am planning to transfer to South Dakota School of mines and technology, is there any Nepalese at that school. What is the chance of getting off campus work(dhoti) at  that place( i highly doubt it though)?

If you are going to Rapid City, South Dakota(SDSM&T), then chances are slim or near zero to find an off campus job out there.  There was no Dhoti stores in that place( at least  until Feb 2006). The city itself is beautiful. If you are a graduate student it is very likely that you will get some kind of TA or RA. I was there until Feb 2006 but moved to Los Angeles to find work. If you are determined to go, then there is a very good college ministry run by two lovely people who can help you to settle down.

Good luck

thanks sainla .  i'll be going there for undergrad. Since u've studied there, do u recommend that college for other undergrad. How's that college though?? What about on campus job for undergrad there. The main reason  for me going there is their affordable tuition rates. I'll appretiate ur reply .

Pjay36:

The school has a lot of funding specially for graduate students and I must say that  I don't know much about undergraduate funding though.  Professors are very helpful and I am quite sure that you will be able to find some kind of financial assistance.I have heard Dhoti undergrads getting their tuition waived and I was the only Nepalese student in about 10 years until Feb 06. The school has a good reputation in the mid-west. Just to mention that I didn't last more than one semester in that school due to harsh winter. So..think before you decide.

This university is quiet cheap about 7000 per year . And other thing is according to sainla there is less international students in there so i am assuming that getting oncampus job should be pretty easy in there. Personally it's not great college but it is good college to complete ur bachelors as thins college has been there for more thatn 130 years.
