Hi all,
I am planning to take FE test (Civil Engineering) from one of these states: Texas or New Jersey or Alabama.
Is there anybody who has already taken test from any one of those states?
I am trying to find out which state's requirement is comparatively easier so that I do not have to take extra credit hours. I have graduated BE from Nepal and MBA from USA.
Thanks in Advance.

Check the requirements for both FE and PE tests. I think you need to have a degree from an ABET accredited university (I might be wrong). As far as the test itself is concerned I dont think the one in Texas is too bad. You might have to revise a lil but you should be fine with a lil preparation.

go to www.ncees.org. They have general requirement information for one to be qualified to take a FE test. Also in that website it can link you to the individual states website where they have further detailed information on requirements for one to sit for a FE test for that given state. I took the test when i was in undergrad at an ABET accrediated school during my senior year. I do know that yrs of experience can also substitute for your education and if you didnt go to an ABET accredited school you might need supplement yrs of experience. But visit that website and you should have a good idea on the requirement. hope it helps. Many schools also provide refresher courses for the test, which might cost around $400-500

Thanks to Killmall, McLovin and Grace S for your valuable info.
You are right, We need to have ABET accredited University. I have already evaluated my certificate from Joseph Silny and was trying to take TEST from Florida board, but i was asked to take 9 credit hours to appear for FE.

Instead, I am trying to find out other state's Board of Engineers where I can use Joseph Silny's evaluation and not necessary to take extra credit hours. Can you give me suggestions on any one of these states: Texas or New Jersey or Alabama? Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
