Again the old news repeats: Today Jan 11th, 2008, GP announced elections will be held on April 10th, 2008. They have been postponed twice.

A SUM OF APPROX NRs 52 CRORES HAS BEEN USED FOR 'THOSE NON-ELECTIONS", I GUESS THE MONEY WENT IN GP'S & PRACHANDE'S POCKETS.

Election news is the BIGGEST JOKE OF THE YEAR.

GP will decide with Prachande how many seats they will get in next sansad. The ELECTIONS WILL BE RIGGED, THE VOTES IN MANY AREAS WILL BE CAST BY THREATS.

WE CAN REST ASSURED THAT PEACE IS NOW A DISTANT DREAM FOR NEPAL. Please start selling your properties in Nepal and try to get your near & dear ones ASAP out of the country.

Jana Aandolan 2 was a success, I was myself part of it and I am happy for that. I know what happened after that is hurting Nepal. As MadDoGG said, Nepal is heading towards being failed state.

The time is not about blaming each others. I know political parties are getting unpopular. But King is also very unpopular. I know MadDoGG and beneet will not agree here, but they know it is the fact.

GP calling for another election is a joke, I know, but who are we laughing at? What will become to Nepal if election could not be held? Whether we want or not, without election, country cannot take any shape. Why should King give all his powers just to TK samsad and why should political parties give their powers to TK king. Let people decide it in election.

laughing at ourselves is not a solution.

 

Bineet: I do not know where you read that I am supporter of Janandolan or whatever it's called. I am a supporter of Peace & Democracy with the balancing power called Monarchy. Please do not assume things, thanks.

'Janandolan', only smart people will know, what it was: young people were 'brought' to streets BY PAYING THEM BUCKS! The street goondaism was FOR THE POLITICIANS, BY THE POLITICIANS AND TO THE POLITICIANS. It helped GP & Prachande, period.

Now King cannot be blamed: HE HAS BEEN OUT OF THE PICTURE FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS!

It must be a record FOR ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD THAT ELECTIONS HAVE BEEN POSTPONED TWICE and the third time is uncertain or maybe UNLUCKY.

Nepal's culture is becoming similar to some African countries.

I was against this as what is that people wanted in 2006: DEMOCRACY or ANARCHY? We now have anarchy.

Since you are an engineer and you participated: please see the results for yourself. In 1990 people brought democracy with monarchy as a balancing power. In 2006 CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THE DEMONSTRATIONS ACHIEVED? The country is run by an UNCONSTITUTIONAL PARLIAMENT, these are not my words THESE are words of LEGAL & CONSTITUTIONAL experts of Nepal.

ARGUMENTS BRING OUT BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS TO BLOOM, difference of opinion if crushed will result in famines of sorts.

Let the arguments and differences of opinion go on FOR A BETTER AND PROSPEROUS+PEACEFUL NEPAL.

If you have been out of Nepal for 10 years, let me tell you one thing. Nepal has been divided into two groups, one demand king and other need republic. Its not about being Maoist or Royalist but people have divided for sure. Don't expect any thing in between these two. I don't want to say Nepal will be republic very soon, situations don't permit me to say that. But what I believe is your concept of your power balance will not work in Nepal unless there is a triumph of one group. But Triumph should not be bloody, it should be moral one and only way for that is election.

Nepali People = BIG BIG BIG JOKE

Kalki Kapil, u r right. CA election is a big joke that's never going to happen.

No doubt, fair CA election is the only outlet for the present crisis. But, the present power share holders[Gidde (Girija)and Pranchande take the country down to hell company] and the newer oppertunistic groups emerged to get their chunk by means of threat ( Terai armed groups and Jana Jatis)  will never allow to happen it. Whoever says whatever, the main cause for the earlier cancellation of the CA election was the fear of Maoists to get wiped out in the election. What improvement has happened to enhance their public image so that they are hopeful for a better public support? No thing. My doubt is that there's some secret syndicate formed between NC, Maoist and the UML about providing a guarenteed amount of representation for the Maoist in the upcoming assembly. The 26 or 29 seats allowed for direct nomination could be a part of that deal. The Thakur ( Mahantha) and the other oppertunistic groups have already smelled this deal and they are not going to give up unless they get their own chunk too. This is happening because the core concept of the peace process was wrong. If the state surrenders to a terrorist group to fulfill their demands, other goups will naturally spring up.

The other immediate threat for CA is Gidde Prasad himself. Some people may find this point little bit odd, but let me explain. The country is not as it was a decade ago. No body knows who is going to get how much vote. The country has already been divided into pro-republic vs pro-monarchists. Despite all these propogandas and the media influence, there's a significant number of  people who still favor for a Hindu country with a constitutional monarchy. Now the NC has to get its vote from non-communist prorepublic, about the size of which Girija himself is not confident of. We will see the drama unfold in the coming days, but one thing is sure, any of these groups, Gidde Prasad or Maoists or Jana Jatis or Terai armed group will stop the election.

Oh god! what's wrong with the people, how they can tolerate these leaders nonsense!! Do we really need this election, is it worth wasting those amount of money for nothing!! I guess people just love Girija, Makune, Prachande and the gang no matter what worse they do!! How many times did we really had election since we had so called democracy!!  what will happen after the election, same old dirty leaders gonna win, gonna see same face, same dirty games or what else we can expect.
Do you call this Democracy NO its not its true Anarchy in the name of democracy!!

Regarding Aandolan 2, I want to share my feeling. But mero office time sakina lagyo, so ghar gayera lekhchu hai.

solution........I cant see any myself................I dont want the king to rule Nepal ......I just dont want the monarchy abolished  from the countryby these murdering maoists and indian pawn Netas,..........I would prefer to see a ceremonial king ..........who would represent our Histroy, tradition, culture and our identity as Nepalese from the Kingdom of Royal Nepal. I wnat the king to be a symbol that we are all Nepalese.....United and proud.

I also cant see the same old faces in the CA election waiting to gain a huge chunk from the Nepal Pie. I will bet that this election ...if it will take place....will not be fair and just. even under UNs eye.........UN has become a joke now a days and no one listens to them anyways..........The maoist and these leaders want to abolish monarchy because if the king comes to power and elects his cabin of ministers................they all know who will stand trial for crimes against the nation in the kings court................But NO king No Trial and all their crimes will be lost for ever

History ma garva garnu parcha tara present time ko reality is King is unpopular. Its due to his own dids. Birendra ko murder case cha, Tes mathi Paras ko kartut cha ane Gyanendra himself was never a person ko safa image. Ane when he was in power, his own road map did not work. The persons he used were all corrupt. Tulsi giri, ane aru name birsiyo bank dubauni haru thea etc. Also party futauni case pani cha raja ko. Even RPP lai futaye raja le.I am not saying Birendra was pure, he may have many bad things, but had birendra been king of Nepal, republic yeti dheri chaso ko topic hudaina theo hola.
