- wichitastate -  thanks for clearing the confusion.. i clearly think honda overall has better reliability... i have seen so many old model hondas and they drive great, even though inside they look old and crap..but main thing is how car runs.. and hondas have always run great.. even after sooooo many years their cars work fine and even small details like suspension.. hondas are good..

the fact or matter.. if u want car/suv for long term go with honda.. if u just want something for 4 years or so .. toyota should be fine as well.

I have honda CRV. Everything is cool. But road noise is  prominent. That's why I sometime wish I had bought RAV4. Road noise is not so much bad that would make the ride unpleasant, it is just when you compare with toyota that you take notice of the road noise.

xgaffadi ... hey u are spot on...i also thought honda crv was noisy.. specially with wind noise... im used to driving sports car so when i drove a CRV for test i found it to be quite noisy... also since its higher more wind noise i guess. that day was windy.

GP,

With family of four, plus two guests, why did you not go for a mini-van?  Given your requirements - interior space, gas mileage, etc. - I would've thought Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey would've been a better choice than Pilot.

Slidding door is uncool part for adult riders, and it is main cool part for those who need such vehicle for kids.

If you are planning to keep the vehicle for only 5 or 6 years, would you lease or buy?

Over a month of confusion, finally I bought a 08-CRV-EX due to its various features which I prefer over Rav4. I am driving now with full satisfaction and comfort and I am loving it. Decided once to go for Rav4 then couldn't find the features I liked but  found all in CRV. Thanks everyone for the informations and suggestions.

Moreover I like the volume and cruise control on steering and easy to get black exterior with black interior.

I don't know much about RAV-4 but CR-V is certainly a reliable and comfortable vehicle which I am still enjoying.

Am enjoying my 2007 CRV...Not a bad ride at all.  Can't say anything about the new Rav4 as I haven't had the chance to drive it as yet (except for the older models which lacked interior space).
