Kathmandu is a MahaNarakPakika. Why?

In Nepal people hardly pay attention to relationship between life and the environment. Kathmandu is the best known example of this sad fact. It is among the most polluted city in the world. Creating and spreading environmental awareness is essential for better health of Nepali people. Good news is that health and environment class is already offered in schools and colleges. Younger generations are exposed to this knowledge but they have not been able to apply what they learn in class into real life. To start this link between their class and real life, a small movement has started in Hetauda. This after-school activity is called Eco Action and it has started a long journey to make a difference in Nepal. Hopefully we can take this to every village in Nepal.

What is the situation in your own villages and cities in Nepal? Do you consider this a relevant movement to your oven village?
