My cute Sanjay,

I cried with you in American Idol, when you hugged Lakhisha and cried there. You are so confident and lovely. You are genius. My best wishes are with you.

good thing he is gone now.. i think if he stayed , people will get angry coz he is NOT a good singer and this is Singinig competition..

but anyway it is now said that this guy sanjaya will make millions from signing marketting deals with hair product companies and advertisement industry and also from singing songs just like how William hung became a millinaire..

If a silly kid loosing in a stupid show is the most awesome moment of your life, then you need to get a life.
As for the singing competition comment, I thought it was a voting competition.

well well,
it is known that he does not have one of the best vocals in the country- virtually, everyone knows that by now! i am not a regular viewer of "american idol" show, but after having read and heard a whole lot of things for and against the chap, i started to take few notes of it.

1) american idol is not just about finding a singer who can sing well- sing the best!

2) style, attitude, persona also count and count A LOT.

3) it's MORE about popularity-- how well one connects with the public. surely, the show is NOT looking for someone who has Ray Charles or Steve Wonder or their likes in the making, ELSE blind, deaf (not meaning to demean the legends ni pheri) would also make it to the competition. how many so-called "idols" from the show around the globe have made marks in the mainstream singing world, huh?

so,
simon cowell and his seamless animadversion against sanjaya does not make sense to me. the format of the show is like that and sanjaya was chosen according to that very format so why criticize him so brutally? i, personally, could not stand simon and his like attitude shown by the general public and media. c'mon the kid is hardly 18 and is trying hard to prove his point in one way or the other. okay, he does not have the greatest of the vocals, but look at his attitude! even after all this fuss, he is always high spirited and lively in the show. you've gotta appreciate it. "I will boycott the show, if Sanjaya wins" and remarks like that from a judge is not gonna help the cause of the show! poor kid, i really felt for him.

sanjaya,
don't feel bad boy! one freaking show is not gonna make or break your fate. life is beyond that. you surely have some star quality and attitude that's gonna take you a long way forward in your life. have patience and yes, don't give up! all the best for your future pursuits.

LooTe

I agree with you loote dawg..
Nepalese don't need to bring up race and hate that kid..this shows how much racist we are..
and same guys call white people racist????
That kid will make more money than those remaining in the show..this is show biz..
he is well deserved to be a star..may not be the best singer!

yah ImI,
i have read nastier comment than that. "sanjaya does not deserves to be american idol, since he's not an american" re!!!

if i meet those persons, i am gonna literally kick their bad arse! sowie, am being a bit too emotional for sanjaya here. ke garne maya lagyo bicharo ko. it's like he against the rest of the world, literally! these racist irritants think as if he's done some cheating or crime! this is a free country dudes! you do what you want to and all he did was participated--participated in the show with full spirits and according to the NORMS of the show. if he'd won, he would've won in accordance of the format of the show. that's why he was there in the top 7. Now shut your pieholes and respect! PERIOD!

Actually, I am impressed by his invincible character. He is too young and little bit look immature than other participants but how he carried out himseld even in the Simon's rude comment. He was fully confident in every performance and smiling always. He is true spirited knowing he would be no more be in the later part of show. He tried really hard. I like his courage to take it easy albeit harsh competition is making him stressful.
I think this young boy will definitely make his way in life.
when he cried there, I couldn't stop myself. He was so confident and little bit doubtful at the same time. Sometimes, life is really difficicult to cope in such circumstances when million people are watching you and you have to regain your emotions and be normal.I don't think anyone can do like that.
Hats off to Sanjay.

All the best.

What a thread!

I am not trying to be heartless here but the boy is only childish cute not cute cute. He is going to grow up to be like McCaulky Culkin (the Home Alone movie guy). He was only cute when he was a little boy in that movie.

Look at his face now, he looks like another regular average Joe.

So I say get over it people.

Sanjaya sees busy future after 'Idol'
LOS ANGELES - Sanjaya Malakar said Thursday he did it his way on "American Idol" and he'll take the same approach to a career that he hopes will encompass music, acting, modeling and whatever else comes his way. The morning after Malakar was voted off Fox's hit show, the 17-year-old with the unique hairdos and hotly debated singing talent sounded tired but composed as he fielded questions during a teleconference

As for critics, he avoided letting the potshots get to him.

"It was a little hard but I try to make everything into a positive and try to learn from it," he said. "I feel like I've grown. I'm more confident because I've had this experience. ... I'm ready to go out there and do it some more."

His near future includes a scheduled appearance Monday in New York on "Live with Regis and Kelly," back home to Washington on Tuesday, the finale for "American Idol" next month and then an "Idol" concert tour with the other top 10 contestants.

Given the divided reaction to him, was he considering hiring a bodyguard as he emerges from the isolated "bubble" of "American Idol"? He's already looking into it, he said.

After that: college, with the Berklee College of Music in Boston his goal, and a wide-ranging career that will probably include performances with his sister, Shyamali, 19, who unsuccessfully auditioned for "Idol."

With his run on the show just ended, he said, "I haven't had the opportunity to get any offers but I'm sure they will come."

"I just want the full entertainment business and career, I guess," he said, searching for words and sounding at times very much like the teenager he is.

Malakar, who gave the world the "ponyhawk" hairstyle and at times left brutally erudite judge Simon Cowell at a loss for words, said he knew he was likely to be voted off this week. He performed Bonnie Raitt's "Something to Talk About" on Tuesday's country-themed show.

"When I saw the show on Tuesday I kind of had a feeling, and then I was in the dumps all day on Wednesday. I kind of knew," he said.

Malakar was asked if he was surprised by his staying power, especially with Cowell's increasingly harsh criticism. "I was just focusing on trying to get past each week," he replied.

He respects Cowell as "an amazing person" and learned more from him than anyone else on the show, the teenager said.

Cowell returned the compliment in his own way Thursday on "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

"I miss him, probably in the same way as I would miss now my favorite horror movie," he said. "I don't mean that nastily, because I like horror movies. But there's a kind of like, 'I hate it, I love it.' And that's how I felt about Sanjaya."

He was a "very sweet guy, quite entertaining, but a horrible singer," Cowell said.

Malakar, who left high school early and earned his diploma through testing (the General Education Development, or GED, exam), said "American Idol" became his "junior and senior year."

Tongue-in-cheek support from the Web site votefortheworst.com and Howard Stern wasn't responsible for his staying power, Malakar said; he credits his fans.

Was he going for broke with his flashy onstage appearance?

"My philosophy was to stay true to myself and just try to put my personality out there," he said.

It's an approach he said he intends to stick with.

"My main thing that I'm going to look for when I choose endorsements and stuff like that is something I really feel strongly about, and I'm not going to do something just for money," Malakar said.

"It's not about money, it's about having an image and really putting your true self out there.

Pop Tarts: Will Britney Spears Sing With Sanjaya?
Pop princess Britney Spears' taste continues to become more and more “Toxic."

The bald beauty is eager to work with ridiculed reality star Sanjaya Malakar, Star magazine reported.

The mag quoted Brit as believing that the two would make “beautiful” music together.

Well, that is if Spears elects to stay in her singing career.

Brit apparently is feeling frenzied by the prospect of re-pursuing her passion for pop and has contemplated pulling out of public life to pursue a private life with her sons.

The reformed rehabber reportedly revealed her concerns over the weekend while shopping for kids clothes in L.A.

"Britney said that Sean and Jayden are the loves of her life and that she enjoys every moment with her kids,” a witness told X17 online. “She was excited to pick out some new clothes for the boys and she picked up some designer jeans and other items.

"Britney even talked about being a stay-at-home mom, saying that she loves it and that because of her boys, she's not looking forward to going back to work!"
