Hi everyone,

If you are planning to visit to Nepal are planning to trekking for two weeks you can book the trip to Tilicho lake trek, but I think many people have not been this area. it is very nice place although hard to get there if you are not lovers of the nature. This lake lies in such a high elevation. It is not popular as Annapurna Circuit or Everest trek but could be more beautiful than those.

for more details please contact via email mishrashiva@gmail.com.
Thanks,
Kind Regards,
Shiva

I am sick and tired of seeing  Tilicho lake portrayed as the highest lake in the world not only  in Sajha.com but also in prominent Nepali  media. This simply is not true.

Wikipedia (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilicho_lake) puts Tilicho lake's altitude at 4,949 m above sea level.

Guru dongmar lake in northern Sikkim is located at a much higher altitude - 5,148 m above sea level (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurudogmar ).

I doubt even Guru Dongmar is the highest lake in the world.

"The world's highest lake is an unnamed pool in Argentina at 6,390 metres (20,965 ft).The Lhagba Pool in Tibet at 6,368 m (20,892 ft) comes second."

it's Sal-ado (without the hyphen) for the highest lake by the way, but Sajha thinks I'm using a bad word if i put it like that.
