SHE was destiny's daughter, no longer Fate's Bride. Shaped by tides of emotions, as deep as the tears of the oysters she wore. Pearls, they called it... now she knew why. Each perfect beauty molded like the tears she'd cried.Pure, transluscent, fragile. Many had loved her but she wore her widowhood like a mantle. Protecting her from rapacious eyes lusting to satisfy their greed. It sheltered her from falling in love again. Yet, she did.

The unbearable lightness of being insignificant in her lover's life. He had yet to come to terms with her widowhood. Something, that was a nagging thought in his otherwise placid life. Choices left to moods, because he knew... one day, he'd just take up a virgin as easily as he lied about her existence in his life. Just one of those technicalities solvable by appliying a formula.

Yet, she often pondered. Shouldn't time and maturity bring one close to the one and only truth... Death? She was still destiny's child, following her mother's footsteps whatever fate meted out to her. Love only held her hand when noone was looking. A lover afraid of truth casting long shadows in his own life. Her insignificance was not personal, just another grain in a series confusion created by a fleeing mind.His.

She was DESTINY, tired of living a lie! Her mantle, shining as a bride's veil, nolonger in the shadow of a cladestine lover who feared the her truth. Hypocrisy has no place in love. Hypocrisy shares no space in life.

IndisGuise Khusss Huwaaaaaaaaa :))

Amused often, snafu at times, nonetheless quite pleasing. Crital analysis with ruthless vigor one almost murders another. Some can not cease but take ide'. It has it all. But as long as we can enjoy reading, learning, I have no complains.

And yes, I remember confused asking laughing_budda the same question " The most beautiful girl in sajha" thread as well. Hmmmm it kindda struk me now. LOL.

And regarding the original posting, I could not help but think, she is capable of much better. Having said that, if someone writes for personal pleasure, perhaps it would not hurt for us not to be extra critical. But then again, to each to their own.

And why people have so much interest in Sonika's porsche? I let her borrow mine, if it saves some of those people's tyam to spend few "precious" seconds. :) Sonika, it's been a week. I want my MTVVVVVVVVVVV aka Porche.. ops porsche. Tonight. ;)

IndisGuise:)

Oh, Lordy lord!

I like the poem you just posted Confused. But one tiny question: Of course fire burns on its own wick, where else does it burn? Then the next question comes if you agree wwith me, why the next line "Ablaze in desolate inferno" and then again negating the thing just being said by saying, "tender is my breast's fire tonight" ..... You know what? I take my words back. The poem does not make sense at all. Sorry mindGames, you are a much better critique than a poet. Don't leave your day job broda.

Confused,
He (L Buddha) must be Nepe ko khubha ma haraeko juduwa bhai. I've noticed him boxing Nepe bashers like Ashu in some past Sajhadesh ko battles.

Nepe - no offense hai.

Laughing Buddha,

Hawaiian Tiki is like Laughing Buddha. A doll. It brings GOOD LUCK.
It doesn't mean that I'm from Hawaii.

Yikes! Phite! Phite! Phite! Dyamn! Sajha threads remind me of unmanned "nu-killer"(Bush) missiles!

Sonika, I totalled my old Ford! Can I borrow Indisguise' Porche, yep a poached porche, which he lent you? :D

Highfly, sure why not a mudfight. Just make sure the six packs you bring are attached to your washboard abs. :)

Ruina, thank you for your kind words. Deep ji is an exceptional narrator/ story teller and poet, if you have not already read his pieces.

CZAR, hyappy valencha to you too. The heavens have smiled upon the young lady you refer to. I am glad! About the pope selling condoms, well, you never know these days...what with literary class being a personal pewa, nothing is impossible. Damn! I just can't stop laughing. What were my chances of ever learning about the elusive Porsche, in such an entertaining fashion... !!! :D

Prem dai, laughter is the best meditation! hoina hajur?

Netazneta, my friend, the classic "Don Quixote" is humorous indeed. But the one you refer to is equipped with State of The Art Information. And, you know what they say about information and power in this age! You write well, sir, may I add.

"it's "why" Sitara hazur wrote this that bothers me... " Kalanki
Kalanki, You remind me of Bloom's Taxonomy of Higher Level Thinking. Don't you know the open-ended "WHY" questions scare the hell out of me?! My dreams...?! These days I have dreamless sleep laced with "NyQuil" and Vicks! hehe!

JUNETA Welcome to our free for all, Thai Boxing, Nepali estyle :)

Confused and LB what's this phyting over everything? Indi the gleeful spectator; the Sajha stud at large (no pun intended!).

PD Queen, Yep, I'm a good sport but... mere, woh tuttey phuttey Hindi ne Apka woh Urdu samaj mei nahi aaraha hai. "aristocracy" does not exist in your lexicon... the evidence shows in your vocabulary! :P

"Is it all people in sajha more smarter tht they understand what ever it's written or am i the only dumb"Nivan
To answer:
"How many toes do tiny fishes have, How many wings on a cow?"
"The answer my friend is blowing in the wind"~~ I hope this song helps.
Disclaimer: Those who know this song, please understand it was tweaked for a nursery rhyme.

hehe! back to the grindstone!

What are you suggesting here ? If you are suggesting L Buddha might be my incarnation, then I am indeed offended.

I am a frank and principled man. One of my principles is to keep the integrity of my identity, that is, not to go for extra nicks no matter what.

I have registered only one name in Sajha.

To be honest, yes, I go through some temptation to register and post through new nick on certain occasions, but I just remind myself that if I have certain things that I can not say with my real identity, then it is probably not right.

I am glad I got opportunity to share these thoughts of mine.

Have a nice weekend !

Nepe,
I am sorry if I've offended your sentiments. It was written without any seriousness.

You too have a magnificent weekend.

SITARA,

I use TAPORI hindi most of the time. URDU audaina nani.

Sitara, your every inscription has stood the test of time?. Thank U for being keen on my pieces?. Was trying to see how the story of one's life wud read in book form?just for the heck of it? We all start our journey back from rock bottom esp. when we r exposing ourself to fast living at early age?. A saga Of a life lived in time n space- the saga continues!... As for my past postings, It always brought a lil chuckle to my day to see how many quite a few ways some people could say something offensively, if the piece quite not fit the standards. *giggles*... 'The skill of writing is to create a context in which other people can think' (Edwin Schlossberg), do some endeavor n then take the pleasure. At least I think so.

GI, waiting for your bouncy works full of fun n wits. Always enjoyed it. Confused and Juneta Thanx.

Czar, true, good piece bring in reading and re-reading, both for the fine value of its metaphors and for the implied spitting image on the article which may seem to the hoi polloi to b ordinary!

Being said by quoting 'An author is a fool who, not content with boring those he lives with, insists on boring future generation" by Charles de Montesquieu", all of us(readers and writers) are well justified!

Great invasion everybody! ;)

juneta, i carved those certain lines from the poem, only because i cud relate to it. Poems are true to me when those collaborated words excite me, doesnt matter if its lit-ly proufound or not.

Memories burn too: like leaves,
Like old love letters. Heart burns
On its own wick. Ablaze in
Desolate inferno, tender is
My breast's fire tonight
When once again you burn,
And flicker in my sight.

anyways, here is what i understand of this stanza, Memories burn, does so the heart on its own wick. Ablaze, in lonely and deserted hell. But today, i am calm, when once again you flicker in my sight.
--makes sense or not, it is how each individual analyzes the poem.

Darkness

one of Destiny's daughters
spoilt everything of mine
the lights of life,
happiness, sleep and dream
for her sheer arrogance
Albeit I am tikled pink from outside
heart is burning in wick from inside
everyday, every night
pale, dim, grim - oil is drying steadfast
my world is full of darkness
amidst dazzling sunlight outside
life is perfectly black body
Stefan-Boltzman constant
Absorbing all light without reflecting any.

Ah, but none can reduce you to ashes,
but for your self.
Why blame destiny's daughter?
Like the stars, she emits light,
yet,absorbs the fumous radiation.

How little you know,
what transpires...
how little you seek to know.
Love is a non verbal contract,
made by the spirit and soul.
Break it,
the blackbody'll hit the blackhole.

She lives the laws of the universe,
She knows not your laws of physics,
nor the laws of social marriages.
Ah but in her sheer arrogance,
She believed in dream merchants,
till reality checked her nightmares.
How now...
would you blame destiny's daughter,
When she has none to blame?

**************************
Hey Ashley, how true your words.

Dadagiri ji:
Ma ke bhanoo, Sitara ko dhaago spins like a top every time it hits Sajha maidan. Some smile or laugh, many get dizzy watching it and others cut themselves with it. As for me, I weave it into a cloak of muticolored interactions. But,a select few know the imp chuckling behind the screen! :D

Highfly, the honor is mine. :)

Sitaraji,

The laws of physics are same to every body in the universe irrespective of the observer's frame of reference.
Likewise, the laws of love should be same to everybody irrespective to the lover's frame of reference haina ra. Or the laws of love are changed according to circumstances?? Lets give this a new name- Sitara's theory of inconsitent love or in other words 'destiny's daughter'. Anyway,

False Truth

The same destiny's daughter
who kept her hand on my heart
and said with a gentle whisper
-dear, we are entwined by non verbal contract
made up in the heaven
before our souls were pumped with life
before our eyes glowed with light
before the sun set
before the moon crept
our spirit and soul intermingled
the homogenous compound so made
does not know the laws of physics
but only knows the laws of love
she said, just like you did
to a son of flawed destiny
on one day at one place
do you want the witness?
the sun, the moon the stars are there
ask them if you are in any doubt
but destiny's daughter
she is the false truth.

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings

The free bird leaps
on the back of the win
and floats downstream
till the current ends
and dips his wings
in the orange sun rays
and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks
down his narrow cage
can seldom see through
his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and
his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings
with fearful trill
of the things unknown
but longed for still
and is tune is heard
on the distant hillfor the caged bird
sings of freedom

The free bird thinks of another breeze
an the trade winds soft through the sighing trees
and the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright lawn
and he names the sky his own.

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom.

A Minor Bird

I have wished a bird would fly away,
And not sing by my house all day;

Have clapped my hands at him from the door
When it seemed as if I could bear no more.

The fault must partly have been in me.
The bird was not to blame for his key.

And of course there must be something wrong
In wanting to silence any song.

Newuser, thank you for your wonderful contributions to this thread. I appreciate it. Maya Angelou is one of my favorites and so is Robert Frost. There is one by Angelou, I teach my small students for Black history month. "Life Does Not Frighten Me At All!"

I have not been able to respond as I have been working on a portfolio that requires 500 pages of writing. I only visit Sajha, when I desperately need a break but feel too guilt-ridden to leave my computer.
