*Forget The Black Hole Picture And Check Out The Tech years*

The current hype about the photographed blackhole is truly worth it. For starters, it’s light came from a galaxy (M17), 500 million lights years away. That means the moment captured is older than humanity. The black hole’s image wasn’t taken as a normal photograph. It was formed from the merging of thousands (if not millions) of tiny light particles collected in the radio spectrum by the Event Horizon Telescope.

This image is the event horizon of the black hole. That’s what’s being seen. The Event Horizon of a black hole is the event where a black hole sucks matter into itself, making the matter glow in the proces

*What does this mean for tech.?
*
The techniques used to take this photograph can be applied to many other fields. A field like medical imaging involves taking images of organs that can’t be directly seen. It usually uses Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques to photograph organs. The algorithms that improve these images could draw inspiration from the algorithms used to assemble the black hole photograph.

With this discovery, the world could put more interest in space tech. That entails more innovations in the field. In no time, humans may go beyond the solar system to actively explore other systems and galaxies.

Have you seen the blac hole picture before.?
