Hi All,

I recently got placed in one of a big company (health industry) as a Quality Assurance Analyst ( with Data Analysis Background) but this is my first project and I don't know what to expect. I know SQL (i took class) and Informatica a little but don't know anything about HP QC ALM or any debugging tool for that matter nor about any reporting tool ( they expect me to be good with COGNOS). Please suggest if anyone has experience working as a QA in health industry or any QA position in any industry. Appreciate ur help in advance!

R there different suggestion for guy and girl?
Most of the health care industry use facet and since you are a QA you need to know how to write a test cases. Since you mentioned it is big health care industry they can a give you the training at least a week or more. You will get a chance to learn there. Bug reporting tool is important but go through you tube video get some knowledge on it. Do not get panic, since it is the big company you will get a chance to learn and they won't assign you anything in the next day of the work.

In addition, Bug reporting tool ALM/QC is not that difficult to learn also. You can learn through youtube video and get familiar with the Test Plan, Test Lab, Defect Management, and Reporting Modules.
