What is happening with the Doc? Why is in on hunger strike? Is this a political hunger strike?
I'm really worried that he might actually die. The leaders don't give any $hit about people's lives; they're just too busy gobbling up money. And the so called educated student union members protest actively against Supreme Court's decision regarding a corrupt politician, but don't bother supporting a legitimate issue like this. No wonder Nepal hasn't been progressing for the past few decades, and will keep on goind downhill forever if the same trend exists! What kind of dumbfocks are these students anyways running after the political leaders like a faithful dog without even considering what's right and what's wrong?

The Doc is indeed a great person. But i do not understand why he is trying to kill himself for a petty political reason of how the Dean should be selected. It looks like the issue is with whether the government should interfere with Dean appointment or not.
Seems little surprising to see a man who has given up all the wealth to be able to help the poor and needy get involved with the politics. How is this "hunger strike" going to suppliment what he has been doing so far? According to the article this man should be above petty politics, money, and power greed.
Our precious life seems so much worthless after reading about such human begins.
I love Bijay Kumar for searching for those hidden jewels of Nepal and presenting in front of us.

Why do you think it is petty politics? Did you not understand what he's demanding or opened your mouth before reading anything about it?

Is it justifiable to appoint based on seniority/evaluation or based on his political affiliations? He's saying that if you appoint someone based on his affiliation, he'll be more loyal to his party rather than to the institution he's appointed. That is the very reason all our organizations/institutions are in poor state. This crook Dr. Banskota then will also give scholarship or other opportunities to unqualified students affiliated to his own party as his loyalty to his masters. There was accusations of selling question papers in TUTH. Such unqualified doctors will then treat you or me or your or my parents.

I think your response is directed towards me.
Political appointments and nepotism is nothing new in our country. I also disagree with getting promotions based on political affiliation and would support the critisism against it. But to bet a life, especially an important life, the life that is a provider for hundreds of thousands of needy and poor should not be waged against a mere political appointee. The wager is overcompensated for the issue...thats all.
On the funny note: why are you against Dr...whoever got promoted. Isint he like a father to us all Nepalese?
