The interviewer should have asked him why it was a priority for the government to give lifelong benefits to the politicians even before the constitution got drafted.

The journalist perhaps assumes the interviewee is a convict and his job is to grill him like in any trashy hindi movie. And he feels elated when his random, superficial and incoherent questions discomfort the prime- minister. Even if you are grilling a convict for any felony, I think one should start with respectful attitude. And that is what is done in a court to any convict !

Perhaps, a prime minister deserves a little more respect ,at least ,to display the journalist's professionalism and etiquette. Or, if one is happy with what
Mr. Pathak did to Bhattarai, perhaps it would have been okay to physically assault , stone or even shoot the prime minister !!

Perhaps, as a society we have decayed more than we think to be !

Nusa you sound like a maoist sympathizer.

Let me ask you, what is there to sympathize?

They have accomplished nothing. Instead of the king now they have Prachanda with Arabs worth of money and noone asking him where the money came from. Clearly it is corruption in the government and Baburam's inability to practice what he preaches. He sure could talk the talk but now when it came time to walk the walk, he is asking for 50 years time.

He is used to misleading uneducated villagers and he thinks he can continue to mislead and lie to everyone all the time.

I don't know in which interview you saw, but the one I saw involved journalist respectfully asking grilling questions to a PM of a failed state. If in the name of respect we don't ask these sort of questions then what's the validity of journalism? Point me to one particular question, word or language used that says he was disrespectful to the PM. Grilling, that too when warranted, is not disrespect. I would have been even harsher cornering the PM.

I was tired of same answers to all questions by thug p.m. " yeuta ghar banauna Kati time lagcha ta" answer should be 3 months or 6 or 1 year. Aba jatho ghar banauna ni karyadal gathan hudaicha, purano rajyesanstha bhayena bla bla ajha afu ley afu Lai Aru ex pm bhanda unique Huna khojcha hatyarara.

^I wouldn't fault that to the pm.
If you ask similar question, you are bound to get similar answer. The interviewer should've cornered him more.

Pathak was asking similar questions, with same theme, all over again thereby missing to ask more important questions . I see Maoists getting close to failure and in the process trying their best to fail the society as well ! (And that doesn't mean the erstwhile parliamentary parties are capable of solving the mess towards a successful solution.)It is this back-drop which demands tougher questions to be asked.I see Dilbhushan failing to do that. (contd.- I am typing it from a mobile set and had the last post entered without completing it). The notion of revolution/rebellion is failing in Nepal. Democracy has already failed because no body was interested to save it. Poor perhaps do not have any hope to get rich by honest means.Corruption as it stands pervades all section of society.Pathak fails to see the bigger picture and devalues his time.Maoists are failing. But I don't see anyone succeeding either . Looks like the society is not really interested against the battle of corruption and poverty. The rich, most of which are corrupt, are disturbed with the Maoist nuisance. The Prachanda section of Maoists is coming to the terms of the world and thereby loosing the justification of their war and mayhem. The Congress and the UML are confused and in trouble since it has been long they haven't gotten to be corrupt. I don't see Nepal coming to a nice solution. Perhaps, it can't. And whiners who are nostalgic abt their corrupt ancestors ruling the roost in Nepal will continue to flock sajha to puke against the poor Maoists ! The paradise is definitely lost.

Nusa, here the interviewer is not showing his skill, he just concern about some question with a topmost responsible person. He can't escape by those questions.

This Guy (BRB) forgot about basic needs of people, he just remember only one thing that how to make himself in same position. If he really wanted to do anything and he has any vision and plan, then he could do his job successfully. Unfortunately, he has a brain of teenager, who tries to win the world in one single effort.  I really appreciate this interviewer who reminded him their own demand.

Actually this person ruined our country absolutely with help of India. His prime motive was to become PM of Nepal. He has one superiority complex that he is the most educated person of the country, so he supposed to be in superior position. If he really wants to be part of the development of country he could do it differently.

Now the question regarding this interview Dil Bhushan did his good job, initially he started with the agenda of people’s war. Which we found that BRB failed to answer; we can see the difference that BRB gave up his agenda whereas Dil Bhushan did give his agenda of the interview. Ay common man can see the frustration of PM, his frustration answer lots of question, if you go in depth of BRB expression.

From the beginning I had a feeling that BRB tried to copy indian PM  singh style be being simple , educated and well informed PM. He copied congress leader gandhi style by visitng poor house and had dinner with him. But this propaganda wont help him as he has a wrong background and supported by pseudo pillars like gachedar and NK shrestha.

 माओबादी लाई विचरा भने बाटै छुटिन्छ यो नुसा हो कि मुसा को असलियत रुप

If so much was destroyed in the name of peace and constitution,
- Who were the people/group who brought violence and dissolved constituency and never allowed to formulate new constitution?
- Aren't these people the main enemy of Nepal because in Baburam's words, everything is stalled in nepal in the name of peace and constitution?
- What have changed since maoist evolved?

Baburam talked about "old system (पुरानो राज्य प्रणाली) and spoke against it.
- But why are they so much in love to be the head of the old system?

Old system did not hinder them in:
- distributing nation's wealth to already RICH and corrupted netas for life
- giving salary to non-existant maoist cadres
- looting money (25 billion rupees) from their own cadres
- BIPPA Treaty (submission to India's interests)
- selling nepali airport to India
- giving two crores to prachande's son for his honeymoon trip to Everest (weren't all of you arguing that he was doing it for PEACE and CONSTITUTION as Baburam is repeating his mantra in this interview)
- not following the rule of law of court by making arrest for MURDERER DHUNGEL
- appointing relatives and unqualified candidates in the important positions
- giving pardons and releasing hundreds of prisoners convicted for RAPE, LOOTING, MURDER

It didn't hinder him in doing any of these activities, but to address his own tough agendas (40 points), he want to digress by saying these are not important/priorities and it need to be sacrified for peace & constitution

I AM WAITING FOR ANSWERS FROM NUSA
PLEASE DON'T COME WITH ACCUSATIONS LIKE YOU DID LAST TIME
PLEASE ANSWER WITH YOUR LOGIC AND CIVILITY IF YOU CAN PLEASE

http://onlinekhabar.com/2012/08/186917.html

I just finised watching the interview. The PM was badly grilled but I somehow feels and compare to Famous US president Jefferson. He was the slave master and in one time he owns around 600 slaves and involves in slave trade, but the same man later became the man who stood against slavery and slave trade and became world most important political and human figure.May be this case can also holds for our PM.

Note, if you still believe that this guy will turn out to be good then you should watch below videos

These will help you to analyze the rise of communist party in poor countries like Nepal and what will happen after they come to the power and second will analyze the current situation and motivation/interest of each group/party on current scenario.

Questions for Baburam Bhattarai

The below email sent by a group to Baburam Bhattarai is circulating in many places. Yet, Baburam has not replied to any of these questions.

______________________

Baburam, Jhalanath, Krishna and Rambaran,

We have read several statements made by you in response to King Gyanendra’s views on current status of Nepal. There are many serious issues that the nation faces and you cannot deny the existence of those problems. In such circumstances, both King’s statements and your statements are being carefully watched and analyzed. In general, people have optimistic views for the King’s statements and pessimistic views on your statements. The reasons are quite obvious. Current status of Nepal poses several questions. Some of them are listed below. Please try to respond.

1) What is the legal status of your post as Prime Minister or President? What is the legality of any political offices or officers after the CA expired? Are you legally holding the post of PM and President? With the dissolution of CA, does your post remain valid? If the Assembly expired, what is the basis of your post? Where does it say that CA will expire the posts created by the CA will never expire? Your post expires automatically as well. Since you are illegally occupying the offices, in what way does it authorize you to run the government?
2) Do you believe in freedom of speech? Do you know the definition of freedom of speech? If you do, define it. If you don’t, ask for help and someone will volunteer to teach you.
3) In what way does King Gyanendra’s interview violate the freedom of speech doctrine? Explain.
4) What is your authority to speak on behalf of the people of Nepal? Who are you? Even if you argue that people had elected you in 2008, it must be reminded, people had elected you for two years, not lifetime. After May 2010, what is your basis of assertion that you are an elected official to speak on behalf of the people? When did people give you the power to use the word “people”?
5) How do you ascertain that only what you speak and believe is correct and that is what people want? Do you have a formula or an algorithm? If you do, please share.
6) What is your answer to millions of people supporting monarchy’s return? What is your reasonable estimate what percentage of people want or do not want monarchy? What method did you adopt in this estimation? Please share the algorithm.
7) Do you believe in making citizens happy? If you do, are millions of monarchy supporter your enemies? Do you not care about them just because they have a different political view than yours? Do you believe in collective nation building regardless of political differences?
8) Even if you are successful in drafting the constitution, how do you plan to satisfy all the quarters? What makes you think that constitution will resolve the entire current crisis? There was a constitution in 1996 too when you started the war. Did the constitution stop you from rebelling? In the end, you will need to decide whether you want another revolution because the people certainly are not happy with the performance of interim republic created by the interim constitution.
9) Do you believe in roundtable dialogue by assimilating different views and eliminating personal differences? If you do, why don’t you, other political personalities, business consultants, monarch or his representative, religious leaders, education experts, sit on a table to negotiate? It is evidently clear that republic system has failed in Nepal and monarchy was not unquestionable either in some form or the other. However, comparatively, monarchy has a much upper hand than republic. People’s frustration, suffering , and the slogans of ‘Come King, Save the Nation”, “Our King and Our Nation are dearer than life” makes their views clear. If you don’t sit for a dialogue and ignore the voice of common people who are strong supporter of monarchy, nation will see an internal rivalry again. So, why not give everyone a space?
10) Lastly, take the pictures of roads and infrastructure of Nepal from 1996, 2003 and 2012. Compare them. You will see what people are talking about.
There are several other questions, equally as grave as the ones listed above. We’ll hold on to those for now.

Obviously, the most educated one in the group could choose to reply.
