2 years of SQL Server DBA/SSRS experience, currently on H1-b, need to find a job
tired of applying through job websites like indeed etc etc and not even getting any replies. I have ~2 years of SQL server SSRS expereince, CRM experience and general DBA, TSQL expereince. Is there any good websites other than indeed as it gives job postings from all other sites?
Looking for a long term contract/Fulltime position. Any help please.
send me message and I can send my resume.
Consider writing a little more than 2 years of exp. in your resume. Post it on dice / monster, you will get calls from vendors without you having to call them. In the mean time, increase your knowledge horizon, may be some PL/SQL, clustering, etc.. you know what i mean. My experience may be different than yours, but i believe the market is pretty good and hot for DBAs right now.
agreed on mero_desh and just to add few:
- I bet you have been applying rigorously lately . But the dark truth might be - since this is a vacation season (Nov- Late Dec), companies are less concerned for new hiring/vacancies. Generally they postpone till early Jan.
- When you find a job in a company through job-portal websites like dice/indeed/monster/careerbuilder etc, note down the company name and apply directly to it's website. I know its time consuming but you have to do that.
- were you working via consultancy ( as contractor) for last 2 years? If yes, you can ask them to market your resume too.
Dont loose hope as you have a real experience and you deserve to get one.

thank you for your input guys. I do have some PL/SQL knowledge too but only through school. I cant really write it down as a work expereince because i have not had pl/sql expereince at my work. I do have t-sql expereince though. Also I have not have any clustering experience either. I know market asks for someone with SSAS/SSIS/SSRS expereince when i look at job postings but i only have SSRS experience. Also my DBA side is more towards programming side (more coding) than hardware.
I will follow no_more_crush's advice and apply through company. I have been working Full time through a comapany, not Consultancy and looking elsewhere to work now because i want to expand my knowdledge..Preferably to fulltime positions/contract to hire.No_more_crush, could you mail me your e-mail address, I can send you my resume.
Thank you both again.

I'm afraid I can't be that much of useful since I'm not into your field ( Pl/SQL etc). I'm happy that there are other folks like @yankees who are ready to help you. Good thing is that you shared your stuffs here in sajha. If you still want then you can send me a direct message.
