Interesting!! Ideally it should not be a big hassle. However, this is a lil bit cheeky.
Its better if you call them. You can call any of the Canadian Immigration Contact and Office Information. Please consult the website of one of canadian  visa offices:
Buffalo, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle or Washington, DC.

The following is of LA:
Street Address: / Mailing Address:
550 South Hope Street, 9th Floor,
Los Angeles, California, 90071, United States of America

Tel: 213-346-2700
Fax: 213-346-2767
E-Mail:
lngls@international.gc.ca

Source: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/los_angeles/contact-contactez.aspx?lang=eng

as of your email I am assuming following:
  • When you apply for the visa application, you must have clearly mention about the current residence info. i.e USA address.
  • IMM5257E Form: you should provide " Country where applying" i.e for you it's gonna be USA.
  • you should also provide the ticket itenarary ( possbly from nepal to canada). This is where I see a minor problem.

Thanks a lot my friend,

The way CIC has posted information on their webpage made me little confused. lets see if I can find if single entry visa granted from usa will allow me to enter canada from Nepal ro do I have to travel from usa only. Their webpage says

Single Entry:

allows you to enter Canada only once during the validity of the visa.

Note:

This visa may also be used for repeated entries into Canada from the USA or St. Pierre and Miquelon provided you do not enter any other country. Such entries must occur within the time validated for your stay in Canada.

Multiple Entry:

allows you to seek entry into Canada from any country as often as necessary during the validity of the visa.

I found your situation similar to the following FAQ:

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/france/visas/faq.aspx?lang=eng#a1_1_15

I would strongly recommend you to call the LA's CIC office # too

I am in F1. I was planning to visit Canada a year ago. I applied for Visa of Canada and got it. But I applied for single entry, but didnt get chance to go there because of my univ projects.
so it all depends on what kind of visa you apply . If you apply for multiple entry you can go any number of time as long as your visa is valid from anywhere, it doesnt have to be from US.

 Dipulata,

I went to canada earlier this summer in single entry visitor visa. I asked the immigration officer if I can make multiple entry from single entry visa since I would be travelling from US. He said it does not matter where you come from, a single entry is single entry. They will mark a big cross at your visa stamp before you clear the immigration in Canada. So, you can only enter once from a single entry visa in Canada. Regarding whether you can enter from any flight, my common sense says YES but its always wise to verify with the consulate office.

You can use your single entry visitor visa multiple times (within validilty period- usually six month) if you travel from US to Canada (FROM RECENT PERSONAL EXPERIENCES)

But If you use it to enter from any other country except US, it's gone. You'll need a new visa to reenter (this is WHAT I HEARD from my international advisor and canadian consul at BUFFALO,NY)

Thanks for the information folks

My plan is to apply for single entry visa to canada from usa and than go to nepal and travel canada from there. I m concerned if I have to enter from USA or if i can fly canada from Nepal. I am not looking to travel multiple times one time is good enough for me. My common sense also says I should be able to fly canada one time from anywhere of the world but just confirming. Any more ideas still welcome. thanks a lot folks
