hi friends i am presently in immigration court because i was denied by the asylum officer.
is it true that the requirement for probability of persecution rises to 50%  instead of 10% in court.
what are the actual proof required in court. i have a lawyer but i don't know his success rate. so anyone who has success in getting asylum in court please advise.
thankyou

I guess it depends according to state.
What state are you from?

devilwith99 is 100% wrong.  Immigration law is a federal law, not state law.

Nagarikreport (the banned user from Sajha) had posted free stuff about this in this website. Search if you can find.

it depends upon judge more than state... Nepali ppl think CA is the easiest , but there are some toughest jueges and toughest imm officers too.. i have heard of  few ppl whose case been pending more more than 15 years in cali.. yes in san fran where you all think asylum is easy as stealing candy from a kid...
just be honest and do good prep for court, plus hire a good lawer, you'll need one , when you know who's gonna be the judge you can can feel more confident about thngs.. most Nepali cases looks like are approved in court anyways, good luck..
