Have you guys traveled on gulf airways? It's about 400 bucks cheaper than other airlines. Is it worth it?

Another cheap one is via Delhi ... I have mix feelings about that too. Suggestions ?

Last time when I travelled with GULF AIR, I lost a big suitcase. Some one at TIA or GULF karmachari most of kept if for their use. It was difficult to blame who stole it but I doubt on one of them.

The worst part was it took 4 months to get the compensation for my lost suitcase. I had to make a trip to TIA and GULF air office in Hattisar (near Jai Nepal Cinema hall) almost everyday to get the compensation. I lost many thousands or ruppees in transportation in order to get the compensation. The accountant at the GULF office was so rude. May be was trying to pocket some money out of the compensation. I forfeited my return ticket. Instead I few Qatar airways. So I will never recommend GULF air to anyone.

Bahrain it's like you almost reached Nepal. You can start having curry at Bahrain Airport.
And best part of Gulf Air is you can watch some bolywood movies.. and some indian food ..time for some change bro..

I don't know about Delhi.. heard lots of bad thing but unless and until you are there don't believe em.
No such bad thing about Bahrain man.. If people stole stuff and it's their fault.. you should keep the valuable in your hand carry not in luggage.. Except the fact that Nepali Airport one is kinda sucks sometimes.. you never know when you're stuff gonna come.. I had to pick up after a day.. But I left my cell number so they called me when my suitcase was there.. Not bad either huh.... I heard lots of bad comments regarding TIA but TIA rocks.. if you have someone who works.. :D

On my last visit to npl Everythin was good except d timin our flight was an hr delayed frm paris, frm bahrain it was delayed 4hrs bck n smhw they strted boardin after couple of hrs agn...so jst hab patience n keep lookin for updates n i enjoyeeeeeed d mango juicee yumm n food was good too!!!!

Gulf airways is a decent airline company. It has a codeshare agreement with American Airlines thats the reason why it's so cheap compared to others. You get what you pay but that doesnot mean Gulf Air is bad. You have to set your standards according to what you pay. You dont wanna spend little extra money and expect the highest hospitality (seriously!) $400 is a big amount of money. I will rather save $400 on a flight as long as its safe, serves nice meal and staffs are helpful. I can go home and utilize that $400 on lot of stuffs. Donot over think and go by the basic rule "you get what you pay". If you want the highest hospitality and nicest flying experience, book a business class. You will be served nicely and statisfied even in Nepal Airlines.
