Dear Sajha friend, I heard that we need to pay bhansar at KTM for any thing which cost more than $100. Can we take a laptop for the personal use or not?. Please share if you have recently landed to KTM airport.
Thanks for your views in advance.
It is not $100, it's Rs.100
Anybody please share your recent experience.
Would this help:
@simransz-Recently my parents returned to Nepal and they had 3 laptops of friends and families with them and i don think so they were charged for it .. but they had to open and show to the airport security personnels in every transit -a little bit of tough time .. i don know whther u dont get trouble putting into your main luggage... so don worry about paying custom for at least less than 3 laptops( MY EXPERIENCE)..Happy homegoing:)
I don't think you have any custom problems for taking one piece each of electronics items per person..I mean one laptop, one camera, one phone....Some people even take 2 laptops and don't have a problem, but I would say thats a gamble.
The other thing is, please do not put your valueable items in the luggage, many passengers found their luggage locks broken and items missing while receiving at TIA.
You don't have to fully agree with my opinion but thats what I feel.
I went home last month. I had same fear as you did. But no one checked anything at any point, except the passing the whole baggae through the scanners.
