InternalConflict,
I can definitely understand your feeling and your situation but you did not mention where (or which part of the country you living), so can not estimate your expenses.
Based on your situation, you are definitely moving out, and yes you have to........... you dont want to sink yourself on disrespect and stay feeling low.
But, now after you should have had some idea, how much it might be and i suggest to figureout the ways to minimize expenses (especially unnecessary ones, like dining out------- I really dont do that, may be once or twice a month at most, sharing wifi, cutting cables, if possible trying to find a smaller room-may be lower rent) and if possible working some extra hours.
I always think this way........ If you work hard even in a menious job, its not that difficult to make your living in America ( I definitely don't mean saving). And if you are still at school, give school a priority by any means. I have seen lot of school guys working upto 30-40 hours a week, taking 12 credit hr classes and still maintaining good grades of course at the cost of some social life, but hey you are a student, right?
If you can work upto 30 hours a week @ even $7/hr..... you make $210............ $840 per month. That should be more than good enough for your monthly expenses...
For tution...... You Might have worked or will have to work like a donkey in Summer Buddy.
good Luck.

@kakakul, live in texas...i never knew i would be in this situation..so i didnt save much money earlier..but now everything has changed..im doing everything i can..i really dont waste money..im doing maximum hours..i wanted to graduate soon but i will have to do it slowly now..i've taken classes during summer which i would cancel soon...everything came at once..car..moving out..back in nepal home problems..im everybody's hope..i need to take care of them too..i guess its true that misfortune never comes alone..but i dont wanna think of this as a misfortune...may be this is what will bring change in my life..only thing im worried is getting a decent car that doesnt break on  me and add expenses...and find nice roommates..who dont make life miserable..and yes, i do work like whatever you said..

Never lived in Texas, so can not tell for sure, but what I heard is you can get decent private room for about $300 and If you keep $150 for food stuffs(might be less, if you work in resturant and can take some meals there and make your own meal otherwise).......... $50 for Auto Insurance ( As you are going to buy cheap used car, you might just want to keep liability insurance), $60 for gas ( If you dont have to drive that much), Utilities should not be that much, $40 for cell phone ( I think you can easily ditch data for now).

$100 for other miscellinious,

Your montly expenses should stay below $700 ( of course i did not count any of your school related expenses). Now you can do math based on your monthly earning so far or comparing that of your other friends. I dont see much room to play around though. And old cars can break at any time so, try to keep some money handy in case of emergency, if you can)
And If you have SSN, why dont you try some Credit cards for now....... you might get some Creditline, even if it is $2,000 with 0% introductory APR for about a year...... That will give you some room to play around and dont need to worry about interest at least for a while.
Again Good Luck.

@internalconflict: you should be glad that you are living on that much low expense in U.S. Here's my montly expense and i just cannot cut it down. This is my last month's expense as i do my expense analysis every month.

Grocery -410.16
Fast Food -70.11
Miscellaneous -123.97
Phone-Card -50
Gas -48.51
Insurance -50.17
Rent -368.39
Cell phone -85.74

Total -1207.05

Although i try to make it as low as possible, my expenses are always between $1000-$1200 every month. So you are way better off than myself.

Now regarding your situtation, i would say you better move out. You might have hard time at the start but once you get settled not only you would be independent but also mature enough to be like a MAN taking care of your stuffs.

Peace

Hey Internal bro,

It seems likes you are determine to move out, but I would suggest you to Stay there until you finish studies because like everybody has said its hard to find a good room mate. I know you're feeling down right now from what your brother has said ... but in a way it is true ... think about it .. your brother may not have said it to demean you .. your life would have been miserable if you had lived on your own ... trust me .. i have been there ... it rally is miserable ... padhna paudaina, khana time hudaina .. saddhai halla, nachahiney tension, paisa hudaina, jhagada huncha, depression ko ta kurai nagarum..etc etc etc..  and for your thirst of finding friends ... brother, right now you should just focus at school ... your school may have some nepalese student association .. or any other clubs .. be a member of that .. be active out there .. u'll make friends. I finally finished my school .. but i tell you .. it has been a hell to finish school... If I were you I would totally suck up my desire and ego. good luck on whatever you decide

Firstly best of luck whatever your decision will be.

As per my experience i'm regretting right now leaving my brother from my village. Now I realize that he wasn't mean to hurt me but was trying to tell me the ground reality.Atleast you can think yourslef little bit safe with brother from your village. Atleast he serves you cold or hot water when you really in need, take you to hospital in time when you get sick. We don't value our parents unless we get little bit distance. As lots of sajhaites mentioned its not really hard but in rare case you can get gud roommate.

One question for you.

Are you not trying to leave your bro thinking that you can't enjoy your life living with your bro? thinking that you can't hang out with chicks- spanish, khaireni, kaali etc? hey bro our mind is full of shit because of luring life in america. Working like 60-80 hours plus study. so think twice bro. Its not too late. you will have time to regret later too.

Hopefully you won't regret leaving your brother for your mere tiny egoism.
Just be peace, make your mind free from these bullshit.
