I tried to send money through pay pal but it did not ask me the other person information except for their email address. How does it really work. can somebody who has used this before please let me know .

The amount will be added to your friend paypal acount and he will withdraw - transfer to bank account

The reason paypal only asked the email address it's because the receiver will also be required to make an account there. Once he makes account, hell have to link a bank account to deposit the money. Of course he can just put the balance in paypal and make purchases online where paypal is accepted
