The Queens woman accused of dumping her newborn in the trash at the hospital where she sought prenatal care told police that she was afraid her mother would find out about the baby, officials said yesterday.

Dawa Lama, 23, faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted on assault and other charges.

“The tiny victim … was allegedly betrayed by the one person who was supposed to care for her,” said Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.

Lama’s attorney, Michael Dreishpoon, declined to comment.

lama, gurung are not bhote you pice of shit. anybody who came from tibet are bhote becuase in early times tibet used to be called bhote. People just missused the word. Just dont generalize the whole community for a person act. Pichas, because you sound like a stupid does not mean your whole family will sound stupid.

That kind of attitude is not good. Sometimes people makes mistakes and it happens to be costly mistakes but it does not mean that sensible people make fun, ridicule or belittle them at their low phase.

If you had the chance you'd probably have tried to flirt with her but now that she's in her low phase, you are bringing out your own prejudices and showing your own low cheap standard. On top of all this you are nothing but a racist - still classifying people as bhote and whatever your cheap mentality can come up with.

The Nepalese from the North have been labeled as Bhote (Bhote actually means ones from Bhot aka Tibet) and the ones from the Terai have been called Indians. That's why we as Nepalese can never unite as one.
