How many of us believe that we should go back home and try to bring some change ?
This thought comes in my mind, quite often, that we are the one that can really do something productive if we go back home and try to utilize what we have learnt or gained from the US or some other foreign land. I know there will be lots of frustrating things to discuss about these issues. However, most of the time what I have realized is it takes time to make change.
I am an average student halfway towards my MBA. I have a plan to pursu a PhD in economics and go back home. I know things may not turn out exactly the way I think. However, going back home and doing something for a change is the greatest ambition I have. I am not worried about the loadshedding, dirty politics, dirty environment or whatever is prevalent in the coutry right now. Those were there when I came to the US, and i am used to it. I am waiting until I get my PhD because with whatever I have now I think I will be able to earn a living for myself only. Please help me with your thoughts, here. It may sound extremely patriotic and illogical to some of us here, but this is what I think and where I think I must be going.
I salute ur idea and i am also gonna do the same. i have put my timeframe of 10 years from now. Get education, make money and go back and start something on ur own.
i am going back as well, after getting my phd (within 4 years). then work for some years to make money, know taauke people in my field, and build a solid network which might/will come handy when i need help in my projects after i move to nepal. sure i will miss the roads, clean toilets and green $$ from here, but home is home. am in agricultural science.
I am goin back too........I am just goin through my associate but..............alrealdy made plan for goin back home, Lets see how it works................I know there are lots of problem back in Nepal but I know i have spent 19-20 years of my life there and only couple of years here.............so i know it wont make a big difference.................Good luck ya'll

जो यहाँ राम्रो गर्न सकेका छन उनी हरु गएमा सफल हौऊला भनी जाने सोच राखेका होलान , कोही होन्डा भन्ने ब्यक्ती नेपाल नै जान्छु र केही गर्छु भन्थ्यो गयो अनी गर्दै छ , उस्को लागि रुपैया पैसा को कमी थिएन सोचको मात्रै । धेरै जसो लाई नेपाल गएर के गर्ने भन्ने प्रश्न सबै भन्दा अगाडि आउछ , सामाजिक प्रेससर उस्तै छ , कही कही त कुकुरालाई घिउ न पचेको लान्छना पनि भोग्नु पर्छ , उचाइ को तुलना रुपैया पैसाले मात्रै हुने भएकोले घुस र भ्रस्ताचार सामाजिक रुपमा सर्बमान्य भै सक्यो, जे जसरी सक्छौ कमाउ !
तेसैले कुन पक्ष मा तपाईं हुनु हुन्छ , तेस्ले नेपाल जाने कि नजाने कुरा भर पर्छ ।

Also, thank you, Bhojpure01 that you have raised a serious concern. Surely, you are true in every words. That is the reason we have to make ourselves ready for doing something ourselves and go back. There are hurdles to which we have to find solutions for.
Tehi bhayera alikati farak soch, skills, qualifications, bichar, degree etc. liyera janu parcha ki jasto lagcha. maan ko kura garne ho bhane ta I am ready for the next flight to Nepal. Tehi waha gayera pani k garne bhanne kura le decison lina garo bhayeko ho. that is the reason I want to get a phd from USA. That will help, for sure.
Guys,be practical.Going back home is good idea but the write up on the thread is not logical.Some say after 4 years,some say 10 years.Come on.
