pregnancy and inviting parents/in-laws
if u r in non-immigrant visa like student, i am not sure. but, yes if PR or citizen....
Sure non-immigrants visa holders can invite parents or in-laws during pregnancy. You should follow similar documents and procedures as you were to invite your parents for graduation. Like immigration forms, your bank statemet etc. Make sure you have a letter from OBGY or hospital about the pregency. It helps.
Not sure about inviting but if you have to renew the visa then don't say to look after kid because one of my cousins did that and their visa got rejected because immigration doesn't want them to be involved in any kind of work. They would take the job of a babysitter or daycare. May be good idea to say to visit newborn grandchild instead of taking care of it.
Thank you very much for the replies. My friend is in H1 and her husband is in F1. Can this combination of status invite parents/in-laws?
