Hello all,
It was great to hear that google /Voice Phone-call went public in USA. Google has said it will be charging 19cents to Nepal's landline/cell compared to skype's quite expensive 41cents.Those who tried to call back home with google , I am sure many of you did, as google claims 4 mil. calls in 2days . Pls share your experience , how is the call quality compared to Skype? Is it worth a try ?
Your feedback is very much appreciated.
it's free if someone is calling from nepal to usa.. enjoy...
quality is almost equal to skype.
i think skype is good. you can pay just 2.99 in a month and you can call free for whole month anywhere in USA. you can give same skype ID to your family back home. I have been doing the same.
How about HIMTEL ? Use the HIMTEL PREMIUM pinless service for Nepal cell rate is 10 c per min, and cheaper for landlines. For US domestic home phone, I use magic jack. 20$ a year.
I tried to make call in US its free.
I tried to call back home but it only rings to phone seems doesn't connect without paying but it doesn't prompt i have to pay also.
I have google voice no that maps to my cell phone.
So someone from nepal can call my google voice no for free?
I use to make call from mac and its like using landlines quality is great.
I actually use Google Voice to make calls from my cellphone to Nepal. No pins just dial the number and done. 19c good quality.
use smsdiscount cheapest calls for nepal mobile and landlines with best quality.
Nonoh.net gives you 10.5 Cents per Minute to KTM (Both Landline or mobile) and also free calls to US, Canada and several other nations. Very high quality!! Highly recommended!
New England, I bought my friend calling cards which used to give 42 minutes now it says 52 minutes for $2. As you know most calling cards does not have good connection, price keep going down if it does not connect in 4 rings.
I have not called Nepal with Google Voice but I received call from Nepal. The connection was crystal clear. No lags.
Personally, i do not use calling cards to call Nepal even though they are cheaper. They are cheaper for a reason. Poor call quality and sometimes you cannot connect. I have been using the account from [Disallowed String for - excessive promotion] for the past few years, which is much better than calling cards. Since Google voice is only 3 cents more than [Disallowed String for - excessive promotion], I will definitely give it a try.
