Hi guys a friend of mine is in deep shit. Suggestions greatly appreciated.
Here is in brief, what happened:
1. She paid SEVIS to come to X university.
2. Visa was rejected.
3. Applied to Y university, Visa issued.
4. Finished Masters from Y university a year ago.
5. Now in Z university.
6. Z university said today that her SEVIS number is still the one issued for X university, even though new I-20 was issued and she is attending classes full swing. It also asked her to follow up with DHS.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, one again!
ek jana le pani reply garena yaar. k ho k ho.
sevis will be same I guess, I have that problem too, trying to go to some cheap college to save my status for 1 year as I got suspended for arguing with my professor who gave me C when I was supposed to get A, i had previous bad records too in college so they suspended me for whole year. i am trying to connect to some college and i will let u know abt Sevis thang.
Two Questions;
Was her record transferred to Y University after she came in to the U.S. or did she continue studying with X Univesity's I-20?
Did Y Univesity release her SEVIS record to Z Univesity?
At any case if she was released in SEVIS by Y University to Z then she should not have any problems!
Hope this helps!
Hi kailo..
well i guess if she is transfering then her sevis had to be transferred to another college and w/o transfering sevis how can she join college? Now she end up with Z university but w/o any sevis released for X university?... and how can a college can issue i-20 w/o releasing sevis. My college never released i-20 w/o releasing sevis and its not lawful too. Then i would like to suggest to contact X university so that her sevis can be released to Z university. but I am so surprised that she finished masters in Y university w/o sevis released from X university.
One of frn she also got problem from sevis releasing process. she wanted to go kaplan of north carilonia and gave every information of that kaplan institute but her college released to another kaplan which international student office also doesnt know. she got problem almost for 2 weeks and finally solved though...
