Obviously he is not a good guy for Maoists and Maoists supporters....... how could he be a good for terrorist Maoist who destroyed their dream of capturing state power???

Wow, what an interview!!! Every Nepalese should at least watch it once. They will know why these terrorists (Maoists) were not able to capture and destroy our lovely Nepal. I salute you Rookmagand, I really do. You saved our country.

Yeah! what an interview... never seen such an interview before... such a determined leader, such a clear thoughts, really educated and civilized among any other Nepali leaders..

yes, I'm also proud to say that:

"Rato ra Chandra Surya, Jangi Nishan haamro..." I'm with you Gen. Katawal... I support 'Jungi Nishan haamro' here to salute the Father of my country Nepal, may not be necessarily the inherited institution!

This man can save our country from all those traitor leaders, who are a curse to our country!!

I like Katuwal and I think he saved Nepal by not letting Maoists destroy the lone security force.

However, I admit Bhushan destroyed him on this interview. This is his weakest interview by far. As Bhushan says he contradicts himself. Still, I think he is better than all politicians combined.

To say Bhusan destroyed Katwal would be an overstatement. Yes, Bhusan did give him some tough time in the first part (RE: on asking questions he was better prepared to ask) but Katwal defended them pretty well IMHO. I was not as surprised as Bhusan to find Katwal opinionated and a person with a promising political career. He seems to know quite a bit about world politics and history (evident on his answer where he goes on to explain how Stalin and Lenin and their general idea of communism failed). And he argued with Bhusan pretty cogently.

The way he dealt the whole issue with maoists had given me the impression of a man who is fierce, logical, opinionated and to some extent stubborn. I found him exactly the same in this interview. I found his expressions and answers well articulated.

Ya, we are least developed country in this world because we missed this Kattuwal Guy and he is not our leader. If he had been our leader, definitely we would one of the developed country. He had been in military for more than 30 years and he just supported King and he just killed Nepali people. Regarding Maoist (terrorist), he even didn't stop them to go to the power. He was a civil servant when Ram Bahadur Thapa was defense Minister. Yes, he might be an ideal to the Maoist hater (definitely I am also) but he is never a good guy. He is another terrorist who did terrorism in the name of Army. Not all amry are bad, we need a good democratic army, not a political army. Just let him to election and lead the country, I will vote him.

Regarding that picture, yes, he is just a kattuwal.

He knows what he is talking about and has clear vision. Seems he thought its time to come front to put his thoughts so Nepali will know the truth.

He was trying to prove Katuwal wants to be politics ! कुन युगमा बाच्नु भएको छ रे ??? मानौ मलाई दीपेन्द्र मन पर्छ रे। के म आफ्नो घरको भित्तामा उनको तस्बिर राख्न पाउन्न ? challenge गर्ने भनेको के एकले अर्कोलाइ threat गर्नु होकी लुरुक्क दुम हल्लौदै गल्ती ( कानुनलाई कुल्चेर ) गरेर पनि हिरो बनी टोपल्न खोज्नु हो ??

Mr. Katuwal sounds like a shrewd politician. Just like Mr. Dahal pointed out in the interview it is amazing how EVERYONE is doing EVERYTHING for the PEOPLE. The Maoists are fighting for people's right, the political parties are fighting to protect the people against the Maoist atrocities and the army is fighting to ensure that the fundamentals of democracy are intact (…..of the people, by the people, for the people). Nepal must be the only third world country where everyone is concerned about just one thing—the PEOPLE. No one wants anything for themselves; no one is after money or power. !!Take that all the dictators who only care about themselves.!!!

Janata ko adhikar ko lagi maobadi haru maarna, marna tayar; janta lai bachauna army maarna, marna tayar; ani janta ko lagi aru neta haru laathi khana tayar. Nepal aama must be so proud.

Kya gajab ko desh. Dekhnu paryo kahi na bhako jatra hadigau ma bhanya yestai ho. Jai Nepal!!!
