U shoul =d email the bank, I think u should be able to do it.
Now u can downloan the application forms and send online.
U can scan your PP.

Let me ask a question, Can I open an account in your city without my presence? I think we follow the same rules here in Nepal too.

Do you still remember the procedures followed to open an account? Still followed most of the procedures.

Yes; we can open any account that are typically online banking, eg: ING Direct. If we do have any like these, May be?

Not at all.
Now it is not like 2 years ago, the system has changes so much for last few years.
Last year I opened a bank account in other state without going there, I did everything online.
It was so easy.
