The weirdest culture is when people go after other and kill them in the name of culture and religion.
This is nothing, if their culture allows them to roll on floor while worshiping some god, they can.
It makes me sick when people think their culture and their religion is superior, and no one else has the right to live and do their things. The weirdest culture is when people differentiate among themselves and mostly between men and women.

As a matter of fact Nepal comprises many religions, cultures, ethnicity and heritage. Honestly, despite my own culture, I too feel odd to show this kind of practices to the other people here in USA. I don't know what your take is on this.

seriously what kind of religious practice is shown on those pictures?
right now i am taking Comparative Religion and i am learning so much about the religions of the world.
But can someone tell me what kind of rituals are those men performing as shown in the picture?
This is my first time i am seeing this.
I also requested help about "Sati" rirtuals in my another thread but nobody wants to even bother to help me. Seriously we should not be ashamed to teach others about one's culture/religion to another.

there is a difference between Culture and Ritual...what is displayed above is a ritual. Culture is more like a way of life in general. This is not something they do on a daily basis but has a symbolic meaning to attain the greater good..for eg celebration, making the gods happy what not....

What is labled as weirdness can be a source of satisfaction, fun and may be a percieved duty of that person to belong to that culture. This is a common human sentiment as i believe the originator of this thread might agree

Please make our home ( earth) favorable place to live, we have nowhere to go, there is not any other planet where we can get oxygen and breathe.
