lets see
gas
   $ 10000/$2.59 regular gas =3861 gallons per day
   3861 * $0.11average profit margin = $ 425
   monthly income from gas 425*30 =$12742

grocery
$ 2500*.33 ( average percent margin on grocery) =$ 825 =>>this is minimum bastards makes way more then that.
monthly 825*30 = $24750

therefore gas+ grocery = $12742 + $24750 = $ 37491 which is just revenue, not including lottery, phone card

now expenses
1) employee 18hrs* $9 average rate = $262/day
monthly 262*30 = $4860

2) rent = $7000
3) electricity + water = $ 3000
4) insurance = $ 750
5) phone + utilities = $400
6) pump repair and misc expanse = $500
7) last but not least
THEFT FROM EMPLOYEE + CROOK CUSTOMERS = $ 600 lets assume

Total Expanse = $ 17110

gross profit = $ 37491 - 17110 = $20381

according to my calculation.

Conclusion: store is doing great job.

How much investment is needed to open a gas station? This might be more profitable and secure than investing in stocks.

YES bro nepali do have gas station in usa; matter of fact one of my fren has his own in dallas, tx .

Talking about the investment it all depends. If it is like brother asked in his question $10000 gas and $2500 grocery, then i would say probably about 750 thousand to 1 million initial investment.

The example i give you above is a vague example, in business there is always more or less then expected.In the above example we only calculated for 1 employee, but in reality there could be 2 or more then 2 employee working at the same time bringing the profit down. there is always high risk associated in business for a big return.

750-1mil to open a store( to buy all the land and building) or just to lease that store.... nepali ko pani chha dallas ma .... nepali le pragati garya sunda khushi lagyo....

10000 in gas and 2500 in grocery?

dont even think about it. some of the gas do hardly 5000 in gas and 1000 in grocery per day. and employee theft is almost 100 per day. then calculate.

its not even 9000 per month.

and think about the risk of gun shot and store theft. may be insurance covers for the monetary loss but good will? it will go down and the customers run away..........

gas station is not always an easy making option.

1 million dollar investment @ 5% interest. Annual interest= 1,000,000 X 6%= 60,000.
Monthly at least $5,000
