GC through Family Plz Help
Every now and then I have been hearing of getting green card for adult children through PR parents. Is that possible? I think it works only for under 18 children, isn't it. Please share information.
yeah, I also thought that it only worked as long as you are under 18.... let me know if otherwise!!
Permanent Residents can apply for unmarried adult sons and daughters. However they are subject to numerical limitations and the wait is a long time (about 8 or 9 years). If they marry in the meantime, they are no longer eligible (unless the parent became a U.S. citizen before the adult son or daughter married).
How does is work for the child(under 18) of PR parents? do they need to wait longer period? when i did a search i found the need to wait atleast 4 to 5 years in general for most countries until the filing period becomes present.
Is that 4 to 5 years applicable to Nepalese too?
If anybody have similar situation or well knows the situation please drop your valuable thoughts, would love to hear it.
