DV lottery 2011, a week remaining
The entry submission period for DV-2011 is from 12:00PM EDT (GMT -4) on October 2, 2009 to 12:00PM EST (GMT -5) on November 30, 2009

Yah Mr GayGoat, am sorry, the last day is november 30th .. . . look but when i google it, before i went to this site http://www.dvlottery.com/ which is on the top of the page shown in google .. . and you can seee and i copied the red exact sentence, it says it ends on nov 20th....so thats why . and today after the commmment from you'll two of you, i went other websites and found that yah it ends up on nov 30th ... . .. .
no mattter what .. . i was trying to share the goood info .. atleast people would act fast. thoough. . ..

How about the Photo requirements? Where did you guys take pictures?
This is not helping, I already know the requirements. I need to know the place where I can take DV picture.

I know this has already been discussed sometime earlier but still wanted to confirm...can people who are already in US apply for DV? I remember reading somewhere that the candidate should not be in US already and stuffs like that. I would really appreciate if someone can clear this thing for me.

you can submit separate application for husband and wife. u can put wife as dependent in husband's application and husband as dependent in wife's application. don't apply as unmarried if u r married. don't lie on this sensitive matter. u might regret rest of you life!

DV parna lekhya chaina kya, neither internet explorer,mozilla nor gchrome is working for me. Are you guys facing the same problem?
May be helpful for some of you if your browser is not working. For IE, I made following change and it worked.
Click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.
Begin SSL entry then.

can we use the photo from last year even though it says picture taken within last 6 months....

I am trying to fill Dv..and each
time i use photo validator..it doesn't seem to work..I dunno why? I
have tried it in IE,mozilla and Opera browser...it times out each
time...and my file size is also not big just 212Kb and i am preety sure
it meets all the requirement..
can somebody tell me what i can do?

hey man i was having the same problems. it has to do with yourfire wall. turn off your fire wall,if u have avg or something like that turn that off too.it worked forme afterwards. good luck
you should restore Windows Firewall to Default and then disabled it. After that I was able to validate photos. To restore firewall in Windows Xp go to control panel find Windows Firewall open it click on Advanced , Restore to Default, then click on General and choose Off. if your computer has antivirus or other firewall running, temporary shut it down. don't forget to turn them back up again after your done with your dv application :)
i m using windows vista. firewall off garisakey ani avg resident shield disable garda ni bhayena. any idea what should i do to check the photos. khali internet explorer cant display bhancha.need help
