ppl who are starving and dying in Nepal, never make it to the USA..they can't even buy the ticket even if they won dv.. people who come here specially in student visa are well off. It's much better to stay in Nepal and have a career and family than coming here and be insecure for years. and u only live one life. most dv winners i've met never appreciate what they have and whine about hard life here.i have known some family who came on dv but went back for good. i wonder how many dv winners who are going to come are going to find jobs specially now ,even just to survive forget about career. king scoopers, shell gastations and factories are piled with job applications. Only if you have tons of properties back home and if u manage to sell them and bring the money over u might open a business and prosper. otherwise, life will be hell working on 8 dollars an hour, and that too if u have one to work for.
Let's not discourage to file DV Lottery, USA is a land of opportunity and who ever gets opportunity to go to USA let them explore by themselves. If you explain your sad and hard work story, they will not understand and will take it other-way.
Never ever make a mistake to explain it. Here is the story, Mr. Basnet was treated well and had good time with his college friends. He told one of his friend that during his school he worked in a butcher house, later it had raid and work for Doti's gas station for many years. Finally I got a job in xyz company and sponsor me and able to come home in working visa. After his truth all his friends drifted away, these are all educated fellow who had bachelor or graduate degree and very much into internet. General public think you can pick "TATA" once you reach in USA that is the reason people are willing to sacrifice 25 lakh for US visa, heard stroy.
