Guys I need some help in finding Graduate School for Electronics and Comunication Engineering.

It would be awesome if you let me know whether they would provide scholarship (Assistantship, TA) based on GRE score. It is so hard to pick one of the colleges listed in the book. So, I am asking for your help.

I am in Nepal and am talking GRE test on the last week of Nov. So, I need 4 University names to send scores directly to them. I want to take the test date as soon as possible. So, please help me out.

Thanks in advance.

There are a couple of Nepali students with assistantship at the University of Akron, Ohio. If you are electronics major, then you probably know some of them. Please include that university in your list.

One important note: Universities usually select international students for scholarship or assistantship based on: 1) Grades of your undergraduate degree 2) TOEFL test score 3) GRE score and 4) Recommendations of your professors (or supervisor if you have already been working). They may overlook other scores only if you have an EXTRAORDINARY score in GRE.

Most top universities have application submission date 9 months ahead of fall quarter because they need to select applicants from all over the world. But remember, it is often the case that you may submit some of the scores such as GRE at later date, it is not necessary to have them with the application. I hope I answered some of your questions. Wish you good luck.

Hello Deathisafteru

It seems that you are pretty serious about your further study. And your desire is to come to the US. You are welcome and best of lucks.

But I would like to tell you a little bit about the American culture. The cheapest thing in the US is two words--Thank you. You will hear all the time these two words when you get to the US. It is an American way. You may start to learn now by thanking people who tried to answer your questions rather than asking questions one after another.

Our Nepali culture is surely different. You requested people for help and some people answered your questions voluntarily. There is "Almighty" in between you and those people. God is watching our every activity. He will give credit to those people who volunteered. You do not need to worry about thanking them. I guess it is our culture, right?

Wish all the readers a Wonderful Deepawali.

Nice!! First of all Thank you very much... Thank you all for trying to help me out. One more time thank you  (nashuaguy) for suggesting me. Now, I realised why Nepal is Nepal and America is America. He he,, Sorrie!!

Anyways, I need to pick four colleges, I have found two names above. I went through the "usnews" website. I am tired of looking at Universitites and their fees. So, I chose to take shortcut method asking you guys. So, please help me out.

Dear Deathisafteru

You are welcome (Most Americans say this when someone thanks him or her).

I have a question for you.  Are you serious about getting a graduate degree in your own field or, you just would like to have a masters degree from the US?.  It makes difference.  If you do not mind to switch the field, then you have more choices.  Unfortunately, you are already overwhelmed so you probably do not want to think about it.  But the truth is that if you want to find a college with a reasonable tuition and fees then you will have to brainstorm a little bit more, you like it or not.  Of course, there are people who are willing to help you through sajha.com.

Wish you good luck.
Have a Happy Bhaiteeka

Nashuaguy

I want to graduate on Telecommunication or wireless. So, I found couple of Universities such as University of Texas at Arlington and University of North Texas, Denton. Since, it is still not late, I am still looking for other options.
