My friend got tourist visa and is trying to travel here in US. She is 6 month pregnant and you can tell she is pregnant from the size of her belly. My question here is if immigration will give her hard time at the port of entry due to her condition of pregnancy? If somebody has experience, please share.

I do not think there should be any problem in this. She can, however, say that she is here for some specific purpose and will have a brief visit to the US.

BUT she can extend the visa later after a couple of visits to the doctor's, IF SHE HAS ANY INTENTION OF GIVING BIRTH TO THE BABY HERE IN THE US.

A Nepali singer and his wife were here in the visitor's visa. The lady visited the US four times [in the past five yrs] and gave birth to two of her four children here in the US. Every time she was pregnant [for the last two times], she visited here and gave birth to the babies.

One of my friends (F-1) brought his pregnant wife (for about 8 months), and there was no problem.

She can always apply for the Health Safety Net and get "almost" free care for check-ups and delivery. I hope this helps...

Good point, tisa, but some people might have good intentions in doing such things, and I respected their wishes, even if not mentioned on the thread.

Tisa's point is well-taken, and I too agree with his/her opinion if the visitor has a different intention like the one Tisa implies. However, certain unavoidable circumstances can also force one to seek helpful suggestions, and it's always good to to be prepared for such an eventuality.

Hairy...absolutely true.

Makes you think why Americans are so tolerant, yet being portrait as an evil to the world. Had it been somewhere else, heads will be rolling down the street. Everybody hates the US (so called "with no culture"), yet everybody will die to come here.

I'd say do not break any law of the land but at the same time, you can maneuver around the loop-holes as much as you can (Hey everyone else is doing that, why can't you?). No wonder, law professionals get paid handsomely in America.
To the people who are criticizing Sketchy beyond she deserves: do not be too righteous, you must have done something ethically questionable in your life-time to this day, if you care to recall. For example let's talk about Tibetan refugees living in Nepal or India, most of them come to US on a Nepali or Indian passport. Another one, the invitee of US college graduate originally from Nepal or a third world country over-stay their visa. You see no one is a saint here.
Most of you are responding to this thread in a typical manner any South-Asia born-n-bred would respond. You are reading too much into what it actually written. There is no mention of the pregnant lady giving birth in the US or over-staying the visa. Read again

Bottomline is, unless there are laws that bar pregnant women from third-countries traveling to the US, I see no legal or moral issue here.

No problem, sketcygirl, you can write off the blog, if necessary, and we can share more information.
