ANA Convention - Who All's Going?
I just found an older thread about ANA Convention, and I mean I gotta admit--it is a huge ripoff when it comes to the costs of the events and such. But despite all that, I'm still going, because these folks (pretty much younger age - less than 40) have given their hearts and minds to make it successful. Plus the location is amazing--Bay Area. How much more would you want?
Also--I'm going even if it means I'll just hang out by the hotel where it is happening, because I love watching the ANA रमिता .
touché...As always, the Samsara will be attending (so far, a perfect attendance record). Well, some may feel it's a rip-off but for others who take part in what the ANA offers (the sporting events, the lecture series/forums and even the expos), they defn seem to find their money's worth in attending. For the folks who feel otherwise, I assume they come to the ANA expecting all the hype people make outta this mole-hill. And Hells yeah, they'd surely end up being disapppointed!!
As per my ANA philosphy since time immemorial:
Party and Let others party. BTW, anyone wanting late nite booze/ramjham drop by the NYkers' room
Samsara... heard nynyc is not coming this year?
ANA is rip off and waste of time with full of Nepalese Drama (Fights and ......). I would rather use that time and money to take relaxing and fun vacation somewhere else.
ANA Equals
Nepali Spring Break
Fight (I wonder why Nepalese fight only when there are no non Nepalese present and do not fight when there are non Nepalese present)
Minus $700 from your bank balance
Will go .............and have fun..........
I think ANA has a great potential. The problem with it is the lack of personal responsibility that comes from the Nepali group. Last year, there was a group of boys that just took some fliers and threw them on the floor. I stopped them and asked why they did that and they said "just cuz man. Get off my case bro"
Despite of these--it was also fun to be at ANA because there was true Nepali bonding. I think this was after the Cultural Program outside the hotel. People just started singing randomly to the tunes of guitar, and the dohari was amazing.
Regardless how excited you are to be there and have fun as Power ranger said it is nothing but a loss.
